What if we're on SSDI and need to use medicaid spend down to supplement crappy medicare? What is the asset limit for a single person?

What about if the kids have paid for things like property taxes/insurance/care for property and were hoping that upon passing away the money would be recoverable? Can the kids recover that money upon sale of the home prior to Medicare imposing the lien on the house?

Could you help (please) I'm permanently disabled and only owe arrears on child support. And was awarded 1,545 ssdi and they take half my ssdi for child support arrears and medicaid doesn't recognize them taking half my ssdi only seeing 625 a month ssdi after deductions. They put a $698 spend down on me that I cannot afford. And just tell me to visit the (ER) once a month to meet my spend down but just leaves me with a huge bill from the (ER) I cannot afford to live much less being able to afford to pay a spend down that's more than I see from my ssdi a month. (PLEASE) any help would be appreciated just don't know what to do to even survive.

I liked your statement about having that initial converation and knowing what their wishes are . We often get clients who doubt themselves and by creating a life care plan both you and your parents will know what is happening and it will reduce your stress dramatically.
