Hey Josh, ts my first time trying sorbo. I got a quicksilver and I notice the rubber that comes with which is a soft is so sensitive it bleeds from the end corners of the rubber. I order natural firm from sorbo hopefully that would fix the problem. how you tried the harder rubber from sorbo how do you like it? Also I order the viper which comes with a different rubber whats your opinion on that rubber also. Any tips you think is my technique for the rubber to bleed or I just got a bad rubber. Btw I live in florida so its super hot most of the teae here. Ok thanks for your great content. look foward to get your feedback
@@LePerrit soft rubber should be used in the cold weather in my opinion. Try Sorbo silicone rubber for the heat. Hard rubber should be fine too. I highly recommend getting the Docket to trim down your rubber so you can get the most out of every rubber you have. 🫡
@@JoshuaTheWindowCleaner thank you
I love the video, now would be interesting to see the comparison with the new Wagtail High Flyer Vs Excelerator 2.0 with Liquidator 3.0. The new Wagtail has new motion, it pivot up and down, so kind of have the angles and it also have the precision clips. Well, that's an idea for you next review, I would love to see it.
Wow! I'm in the process of replacing my screens myself. Trying to decide between fiberglass and aluminum. This tilts the scale on the aluminum side.
@@k.b.woodworker3250 aluminum is the best!!
What size ladders do you typically carry
@@pumppanelpimpin7536 we have different sized ladders. Depends on the job. Best one I can recommend is the little giant Epic ladder
This is a much faster method. Use it all time with the pole 👍😃 ruclips.net/user/shortsWJynQSIAYxQ?si=Dj7NW_NCYpn5b7Ir
Where to buy, home depot link would be useful

Good video, good tips. Thank you for posting. One suggestion, if not already pointed out, correct the spelling of the word “proceed” at the bottom of your order form.
@@AdamHarry-z2r yes we had new forms made and we had to run out of those first 😂
I wished i found your video before I spent $$ and screen didn’t fit. I guess I measured it wrong. Will be redoing the screen with your very detailed instructions as a reference. Best DIY video on YT. Thanks for sharing . New sub 🤙🏾

Those pull tabs are cheap!! Use a paint stick to depress the springs. Then pull gently.
@@Maximonious 🧐
At the intro of video are you using a small vacuum or blower? Do you have the link
@@diamondgreenchoreoqueen unfortunately they do not make those anymore
Can you make a video on the actual process of making a new sliding door screen , how to measure , where to buy material, how to make it

What you have an extension rod to get the hugh window and also dont have an ladder to what should you do in that situation? Should you only do exterior windows only or should you do both ?
I can tell you were a 90s hiphop head 😂😂😂. Whats the easy way to find jobs? Do you think one story homes are better than 2 story homes?
@@PrimeChosenOne 😬 either work great.
Im thinking about starting my window cleaning business. Very cheap price for materials to get started. Im not good with math 😂 but any idea how to price ONLY exterior windows? Lets say if a client's wants an interior clean how do you price that? Or how do you price both. I say my minimum wage is 120-150 bucks for the full window cleaning ehat do you recommend
@@PrimeChosenOne depends on location and how many windows they have.
It really is clean. I noticed the difference before you flipped the screen over the side that was clean to the dirty part. Gratifying to see that part. Nice!
@@veronicaleon8075 thank you!
What drill bit is that
@@micaeladrayer8289 it is a specialty drill bit that I got with the plungers.
Thanks for the instructions. I find it is easy to deform the end of the frame piece when you are trying to cut off a small piece, such as when you are turning the 90 into a 45. I suggest instead you make a 45 on one end, cutting off at least 1/2" of material, before you cut to length with another 45. Your jig should allow this because the tip of the 45 will butt against the stop.
@@williammiller4786 thank you!!
Thanks so much!!!!
@@jamieluhan2546 of course! 🫡
Do you do a video on cleaning frames
@@kevinhartley7423 I don’t but you can use a Sorbo sponge and goo gone will get most of everything off of frames except concrete.
Thank you Joshua. Excellent detailed video. I'll be watching again before I begin replacing 11 screens and frames on my porch due to the recently violent thunderstorms and tornado occurring this past week in upstate New York. All the best to you and your business.

I have watched other videos where they say to pull slight tension on screen as you roll the final 2 sides. So are you saing not only to not pull tension but also to leave slack? Is this correct? I will be putting solar screens on 3/4 frames soon. Trying to figure out the best method.
@@kevinwinkle8091 I do not pull tension. I let the screen pull itself
I once went to a diner that had about 40 big windows and they said they already have a guy so I asked how much he was charging and she said $30 ....I literally laughed at her and said nobody is doing this massive job for 30 bucks
@@Mr99RICH99 see it all the time. There is the right client and the wrong client I would say that’s the wrong client.
Great video What king of measuring jig is that does it have a name or any idea where I can buy one
I don’t think they make them exactly like this one anymore.
Joshua, needs to learn where to step on a roof tile so he doesn't break them / I watched where his boots stepped and it's NOT in the correct spot / after that he's not too bad / I'm a Lic. Rain Gutter installer since 1977 / I know what I'm doing. Notice he steps in the center of the tiles ( NOT THE RIGHT SPOT ) step toward the end of the tiles where the overlap is / it's a lot stronger at that spot.
Since this video I have actually learned from a licensed roofer after breaking and paying for many tiles! You are correct thank you for your feedback! 🫡
Have a question do you charge by how many windows or by square feet ,and also if is the same price for a two story and a 1 story, appreciate some advice.
I price per window and yes same for any floor. I would never charge by square foot because you will run into sun rooms and glass walls.
Hey, really nice job with the bow factor. I really failed miserably at my last effort. I had 4 sides bow in so bad it was sad. After seeing this video I’ll try again this weekend with new materials. Do you feel that the kits with plastic corner inserts can work fine as well?
From my experience the plastic corners only last about a year in the sun but they can be a temporary fix.
For a beginner I think you have done well!
For your miter saw blade, how many teeth does it have? Any recommendations on brands? Thanks!
Where do I go to join a networking group
How do you normally charge to make a screen labor only
For you I would say depending on how long it takes you should be making $150 per hour but this is just my preference. Everyone is different on this and it depends on overhead and location.
Thank you !!

Should the spline be facing the outside of the window after installation or should the spline be facing towards the inside of the house?
Spline should always face the outside
I personally prefer the spline to face the inside of the house, it’s more of a cleaner look & the spline will Not get brittle with the sun beaming down on it. My .02
@@FernandoRodriguez-ds5ri that is fine as far as preference but the design of the window screen is made to face out and pull tabs are on the inside to pull in from the inside of the window. When you get a new window from the factory that’s the way it comes but there is no wrong way that’s just how it is designed. 🫡

How can you tell which end the cap comes off? Does it matter which end?

@@JoshuaTheWindowCleaner I shot you an email about that window scratch waiver. But another question I have is what would your advice be to someone starting up a window shade business? I live in Arizona so I know the market is prime here but what big things should I consider and do before starting to market myself?
@@luket6405 there is a contractor licensing for window coverings. I would recommend getting that first. I would get in good with glass companies and find a solid one that recommends you a lot and then recommend them also. Network in the community as much as you can if you want to be successful it’s all about community. Definitely get all your social media things in line first after licensing. Then network.
