A short little documentary I made for a film class summer 2009. The Pleasant Valley Barber shop is a great place for a haircut or a shave if you ever find yourself in Colorado Springs. If you liked this, check out "Ocarina Man and the Sheep's Toenails."

Matt and Spencer practice a piece and then play the new reggaeified version. This was 50 minutes in recording, cut down to 1 minute, so it's not all there. Spencer on Mandocello, and Matt on guitar.

This video is nostalgic and heartwarming for me. Roy ( the man in the blue smock) was my grandfather. I received most of my haircuts from him, my first shave too. The smell of bay rum and pinaud clubman powder bring me back to this place. I spent alot of time there as a kid. The man he was shaving at 2:30 was his son....my dad. Both of them are no longer with us and I miss them both😔 Thank you for keeping this old video up.
That was my dad's barbershop ,he passed away August 30 2015 ,a barber of 52 years . I was hoping that I could persuade you to make me two hard copies on disc for my self and my mom who is the lady beautician and lady barber in the picture,I would gladly pay for them please contact me at root2338@comcast. Net thank you
i'm playing this song in my concert on april 30. i play reyong... such a fun song.
Great video, makes me wish I had a shop like this around the corner!

Larsson, Wow! Very cool film. Wish I were there to get spiffed up a bit :-) And you know I could use it... Daddo
Thanks for the reply. I've always preffered places where I could just walk in, because I *hate* having to use the telephone, lol. There's another place super close to my house that also does Shaves, Paul's Barbershop, where I go once every few months or so. But he preffers appointments.
Awesome! Another barbershop that does shaves in Colorado Springs, and its not that far from where I live. Do you know if they take walk-ins, or do you need an appointment?
I think my favorite video on youtube...
really well done! makes me want to eat some eggz! who's the guy with the hat that's too small?
Totally amazing rhythms! A bit better than the Plainfield, VT gamelon of 1981!!!
