Such an amazing crystal clear wootah
What a beautiful Masya Allah
Ayyy first viewer! The sea looks great!
@@martareitmajer thanks for the comment. 👍
This is a dhole (Cuon alpinus). This is not a Wolf. The iberian Wolf is VERY VERY different than this canine.
@@dinis4677 I'll let them know at the wildlife park that they have the wrong sign up. Cheers David 👍
Nope, nowhere close actually. I have a couple friends on here that are still pretty active from May 2005
Where’s my fridge magnet? 😂
I’m going C2C and back in 48hrs! Then 21 mile swim In ullswater and 10xhelvelyn (Everest) in 5 days for charity in September
Nice one ! sounds like a nice relaxing couple of days 😂. I didnt stick to the official c2c as i added a section on to see Honister pass and Derwent water but am happy to send you the gpx if you want, good luck.
@@IndigoBikeTouring perfect nice one mate! Your more than welcome to join 🚴♂️🚴♂️
Can you send me this C2C route
Do you have a email address or some method of sending?
Why do that?😮
Why not?
That's some effort over 5 days with all your camping gear. Top banana.
Well done mate took me and 3 mates 3 days to do it well done we got lost loads of times through Manchester 😂 great effort mate
Cheers, if you liked the Trans Pennine Trail then another good one is the c2c Whitehaven to Sunderland its shorter distance at 150 miles but the elevation is much more as it goes threw the Lake District and North Pennines . Thanks for Watching 👍
Al av a look cheers mate ready for a new challenge 👍
That was an amazing achievement, what did you use for mapping ? Thanks for the video 👏👏👏👏
Thanks for watching, i used a garmin edge 830 for mapping and to record my route with the strava app on my phone as a backup.
Fantastic achievement. Well done. 👏
Thank you! Cheers!
definitely a mink
Hi Jonathan, great vid , any chance you have a GPX file for your route that you’d like to share. I’m taking my eBTB to the Cairngorms in September and would like to check out some sections. Michael
Thanks for the comment, Yes im happy to share the GPX although beware there is 2 sections where you have to push/scramble for about 12 miles
ruclips.net/video/oVQdbpg5OxY/видео.html if you drive a vw california with reg plate R-802-5J then your a massive bell end.
is it a "official" marked route or a selfmade route?
Self made route, happy to send you the gpx file if you want
good one mate i live in cleethorpes you should try gyppo
I watched it on 0.25x, it was like cycling at a nice pace thru the hills, then through a mine. So much history and graft in that landscape. The gold was definitely moving that day, good effort getting out 🍻
Thanks for watching. It looks like its had a good amount of work done there in the past. Id like to go back in better weather and have a good look, there was quite a few tunnels to explore and there must be gold there , This slate quarry is sandwiched in between extinct volcanoes from snowdon and glyderau and in the surrounding area there is a couple of copper mines.
Sounds like Robot speech with Snoops Voiceprint.
I thought the same during recording, i don't think geology is his favorite subject.
Cool, pyrite?
Im not sure if its Pyrite or Gold, yet. Tried doing the copper scratch hardness test but the pieces are too small so was looking for a white porcelain tile to try the residue test. All the samples i took were from exposed quartz veins from close to the summits at around 800m-900m so if it was Gold id expect only the very fines to make it that high up the mountain. It does look like it has squarer edges like pyrite but im not sure if that's because it has been trapped in the quartz and hasn't been exposed to erosion like the panned gold. Will update after i do the test.
Dear Jonathan - looked up the link you gave me and it warmed my heart to see some of the places i cycled through. You took a far longer and more circuitous route than me who went the other way but it was great to share. Thanks for the link. We share the same love of the redoubtable Brooks B17 and I was so glad of it to give me comfort End to End in my 'end'. I also saw that you shed some of your load along the way - I did - and it was a good move. Every good wish Paul in the Midlands.
Iv found a super rare deposit of natural Bismuth placer nugs, gonna put some on eBay for collectors ✌️
I found a source I thaught was Obsidian but after research it was the waste from a old steel works called Black Slag stone haha. The rarest thing I've found is Blue John, apparantly the only place in the world it's found is Castleton in the Peak District.
@@IndigoBikeTouring aye nice, cool find. thought I'd Found obsidian up leadhills ,was slag also. Maybe did find one wee bit of obsidian or possibly jet once,no idea were it went because I made the mistake of leaving it on the mantle piece,n my stuff gets tidied up to oblivion 😖
A GORGEOUS SET OF PHOTOS. However, it would have been good to have had some sort of commentary to let us know where they were taken. A great journey. I did it the other way in 1996.
Thanks for the comment, i had just bought my camera before this and hadn't yet done any filming so i only took pictures but have been thinking about doing the route again and filming it this time. I wrote a blog about the journey what goes into a bit more detail if you are interested indigobiketouring.blogspot.com/2022/09/blog-post.html Thanks, Jonathan.
You got a lovely morning for it! Must have to be careful going that speed on the muddy roads 😉
It seems a mild winter so far, we haven't had a ground frost yet. Thanks for the comment !
👍👍 👍🤗
7:00 - Chrome Hill
smooth video starts @ 1:08
Nice one, well done on a tough looking route. We're looking at the C2C but will probably give some of the "there and back" miss🤣 Great effort👍
Thanks! Id recommend going past Crummock water, Buttamere and Honister pass then past Derwent water as a diversion. It doesnt add much milage on but the views are far better. It only misses out whinlatter forest section but you can see part of it as you rejoin the C2C after Derwent water.
@@IndigoBikeTouring Cheers for the info...👍
