To be clear, I get to rip his shirt "for free," so to speak? My intuition does not confirm this. It seems to me that if I'm executed as a penalty, a deduction from the value of my estate in the amount of the shirt should be made and given to the heirs of my victim. What if I commit the capital crime by means of arson, burning down his family estate? Should his heirs not be compensated (if possible) by mine?
