Folks, instead of all these young kids aspiring to be on stage one day, they should be at home studying chemistry, science, math, economics, and more. Music was a necessity in the 40s, 50, and 60s because families needed extra income, and jobs for kids were scarce. Music is not a life that these young people should depend on. Not everybody is a Ramon Ayala, George Straight, or others. Most Tejano artists die broke. Instead, they should get an education. Go to college. Study law, medicine, engineering, accounting, healthcare fields, and more. Get into a good profession and make music your hobby. Take it from someone who was a musician for over 50 years. My parents insisted that before i spent time playing music, i had to get an education and a good profession. I eventually became a doctor but never stopped enjoying playing music. These young kids can do both. Please get an education.
