Thanks for the shout out, Bro. I have been busy getting the deck, pool & yard ready for Summer. There was a lot of work that needed to be done. We are headed out to the Stones Concert tonight at Giants Stadium - Peace!
@@newjerseydemons Hey Dan! Long time brother! Have fun at the Stones concert tonight. Denise and I have been going to a lot of concerts since I met her. Seeing Chicago in a week or two, and then my favorite band...YES! That's in mid-June. There's one more after Chicago, (I forgot who it is). Did you see that fight between Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.? I dig Kyle, but I know he's got a bad rep. I don't care, I've always been a fan of him. He's not doing that good this year. I have a feeling this might be his last year. He's always running around 15th place. That's why I think he doesn't give a crap, and 2024 might be it. One more thing, since I got your ear, (rather, eye's 👀, lol), Denise and I bought a small home in a beautiful little area of NH. We love it!!! Later Buddy! Have fun tonight! Joey & Denise
I am 81yrs now, not sure how much time I have left. My 1st Duty in the Navy 1961 was the USS Radford DDE-446, Sister Ship of the USS Fletcher DD-445. Living Conditions were horrible cramped, but they were Fighting Ships.. Not luxury liners. I went on and served on the other 2 types of WW2 Destroyer Classes- Sumner & Gearing Class. You had to be tough, strong and dedicated. I was a Signalman, Visual Communications. Now I have Prostate Cancer fm Agent orange in Vietnam. GOD Bless us all. We were Warriors once and young. Honor and Respect your Veterans.
Hey Dan. Love life is great! Denise and I are on vacation a few miles south of the Canadian Border. We rented a little cabin for the week. It’s raining right now, but the rest of the week is supposed to be nice. Still hiking and climbing mountains. Denise is a very strong woman, and she keeps me on my feet, lol!
Loved the slide show featuring Pats photos and the added sound effects, but you’re the expert video guy with Elwood, so when do we get the video production?
Hi Dan. I didn't forget about you...my laptop, which had your email address on it burnt out and I don't have your address anymore. How can we do this without either of us showing our email address' here? I have a new one, but I don't want to post it here. Any ideas?
Looks good Dan. I don't know what kind of weather you're having by you, but here in NH, it was 24 degrees yesterday morning. Looking forward to ice fishing soon, LOL
Whoa Dan.....you got the whole set up going on there! I could smell the burgers man, LOL. Dig the Coal Mine. Why do you always have that, "Kick Ass" look on man? At 9:04, Oops, there it is! Looked like a great time brother.
Merry Christmas Dan & Pat. Excuse me, but I didn't see Dan working as hard and as fast as you Pat, LOL. Maybe we can see Dan chip in and take the tree down. (Ain't I'm a trouble maker Dan?) Only kidding guys.....enjoy the holidays, Joey & Margaret
Very nice Dan. Don't you dig this time of the year? I do! Nice and cool, no bug spray, and the smell of fall is in the air. N.J. looks so much like N.N. Love the Heron too. Looks a bit different in it's color, still beautiful birds.
My dad had the USS Wadleigh DD-689 cap with all his ribbons on it. We buried him with it. Love seeing these reunions. He loved going. He loved you guys.
Hi Dan. They're cool aren't they? I remember seeing a black bear last year running across a trail in front of me. He was looking at me like he was scared of me. It was so funny the way he was looking back at me while running away from me. This guy was BIG too! Imagine that....HE was scared of ME?! LOL
Hey....thank you buddy! That was so nice of you making this for me. Nice seeing the wife, Pat, and the wonder dog, Angie. Good shot at 5:40. 7:11, ahhhhhh! I think you're right....this Lyme garbage I have is a bit worse then I thought. I'm now being told, I'll have it for ever. But it is hard to wonder if those neurological issues are from the 70's or the tick bite, LOL.? Thanks again Dan!
Please excuse my weak attempts at humor - it's just my way of getting friends to lighten up a bit. But in real life, I tend to over-analyze my ailments and second guess the Doctors. It's been 7 or 8 years since my bite and I have no ill effects from it. I was told that the test for Lyme measures the antibodies produced by the body to fight the disease. The Meds will kill the bacteria that caused it, but that I would always test positive for the anti-bodies. Anyway - hope you enjoyed the video - I always get a kick outta yours.
Your humor makes me laugh Dan. Don't ever stop! Thanks for that info about having Lyme for ever. These doctors don't always give you the answers. The thing is that I feel great. I was just wondering, what does it mean that I'll have Lyme for the rest of my life....and you gave me the answer. Thanks again :)
Great video Dan! So nice to see you and the Mrs. @ 5:39. Was that an Eagle @ 8:40 on? You know me, I can't name birds, mountains, what have you, LOL. Excellent video of the grounds where our brave men and women once stood to protect us.
OK....now this is insane Dan! I could never do this. Because once little Joey and the boys would have hit that frozen water, you know what would happen, LOL
+Joe R No, but I considered it on the way down - when the knees started to quit on me. We were way outta shape for this sort of thing - but we had a great time and are still laughing about it - What's the old saying - if it doesn't kill you . . . you will wish it did?
Dan, I have the worst knees in town my wife said. I get an injection called, Synvisc. It's amazing and gives you up to 6 to 10 months relief. I get em' all the time and they work! Cortisone does zero for me on knee pain. Check it out if the knees are in some big time pain.
+Joe R Bad knee - suffered for years - finally had the right one replaced. Cortisone worked, but I wanted something permanent. I am not really thrilled with the result, but it's better than it was. Both knees now flare up on a long hike - so I limit myself, and end up with overall poor conditioning. If you don't use it - you lose it, sorta thing.
That sucks about the replaced knee Dan.....wish you had total relief. I had my shoulder done and it's worse then before the operation. My NEW pain management doctor refuses to replace my knee. He swears that the Synvisc injections will work, and he's right. This guy is awesome Dan. He keeps my pain level down to about a 2. I can live with that :)
Nice video Dan. I moved to New Hampshire back in 2000. I love it up here. You're not gonna believe this, but I used to live in NYC. I know....stop laughing, LOL! Yes, I'm a flatlander. But not at heart. I drove a tractor trailer for the Teamsters down there and retired. My daughter has been living up here since the early 90's with her husband and my 2 grandkids. I went back to NYC once. A friend passed away. He was with the NYFD and his life was taken from him when the first tower fell on him. He was one of the bravest men I ever knew.
Joe R I am from NJ and it's interesting that you found that old video from '09 made during a visit with my sister in happier times. I am going back up next week (perhaps for the last time) to visit her in a nursing home. I have been thinking about Mt Cardigan for years - gotta do it this time. I used to do a lot of hiking as a Scoutmaster - but had to give it up - total knee replacement.
Dan Muns My local is out of Union City, NJ. Dan, do Cardigan. But make sure you don't do it from the AMC Lodge. That way is really hard and long I was told. I took the West Ridge Trail on the other side. That way is very easy. Let me know how it goes. Here's a link that will give you a lot of info and tell you how to get to this side of the mountain: www.hikenewengland.com/Cardigan980426.html Plus, all my best to your sister. Family is important! I come from a big Italian family.
God bless our military Dan. Are you in this? It's hard to see. I'm looking at your avatar, and trying to match it up with the pictures in this video. At 3:47 maybe?
Joe R Yup that's the "old salt" hisself. My upcoming Mt Cardigan hiking buddy comes in to view at 3:53. He once pulled me out of shark infested water - only to throw me back in. "I practice Catch & Release" he said. This hiking trip may become my revenge ha ha.
My pops was also on this ship during the Korean War. He loved and respected all of his fellow sailors and comrades-in-arms always speaking highly of them and their time aboard ship (even though some of his shore leave stories in the Philippines and Japan seemed to have these mysterious 8-10 hour gaps in them. lol) We buried him with his Wadleigh hat. Thank you for being such a huge part of his life. It definitely made him who he was and who he became.
There are a couple of photos floating around, some on ship some in port. We still have some of his tour books from the 50s when they did their world cruise.
Hey Brother! Just stopped by to say hi to you and the family. "Love Daytona"!

Are there no local building codes there for vertical supports on hand rails?
Yes, there are - and yes, I will

Hey, if you guys are so smart - get your own appliance repair channel
I hope the lowes delivery guys are installing the new one. I find once they start giving resistance I tap them on the head a few times.
Did you check to see if the dryer was plugged in and that there was power at the plug? It's the number one problem that DIY'ers neglect to do.
