@@VikingsExplained that’s a great question. Imo Yes. Ivar had the mind for the times to come. Bjorn was great but I feel Ivar was to be the greatest. In history he was the greatest out of his brothers, being the first to explore the lands of England and even learned the land well enough that he showed his father around the territory he captured

Its a truely amazing story, Ragnar sounded like he really had a vision beyond just raiding and pillaging like the Vikings are always shown to be. It's a long and sometimes really unbelievable story, Ivars conquests are utterly savage 😂 Ubba, Bjorn, Sigurd and Hvitserk.. Was there a Halfdan also? Or was he and Hvitserk the same as I've heard conflicting stories there? Great video thank you for covering this 😊 The Vikings t.v story are gonna be heavily dramatised but fun to watch nonetheless as reality was more than likely a lot darker and a lot less and side love stories or truces 😂 Ivars takeover of Dublin was probably extremely bloody. This is King Harald Hardrada, a mighty Viking warrior, supposedly defending the bridge and being struck by a spear from below. While it has become folklore, it's improbable that such an event actually occurred. We will include this in our next video about myths and facts from the Viking Age.

The Vikings forgot to post scouts. If they had been warned about the approaching English, they could have prepared better.

You seem to forget, Pryttynn was neither Viking, nor Anglo-Saxon mongrels. We are the legitimate occupants/inheritors of these islands.

The invention of the artifact, by the Vikings, is not even included in the Viking History Degree Course at either Oxford or Cambridge Universities. It is much too much of me to expect a person, who concentrates on the ephemeral antics of the 3rd most violent society in world history, to know about this life-changing, life-saving accomplishment.
