Really enjoyed the video. Got my start on a Freebord and after watching enough videos of Brazilian tech slide videos decided I'd have to learn to rock a short board with hard wheels. Getting those first layback slides down was the best feeling, working on my spins now, though they still end up being just two quick pivots half the time. I think getting my knee down will have to be the next effort. Thanks for the video. Very motivational for me.

Dude very nice video. I wanna buy a setup of my own too. Do you use high or low trucks(do I also need to put risers)? And what size of trucks is good for 8.5" wide deck? I'm kind of a newbie hope you can help me out, thanks.

hey why u dont tel any local skater, there are some very good techsliders!

You have to unweight the board really hard. You can see I drop down at the end of the spins as I try and keep my weight off the board as long as possible. It's kind of like jumping but without your feet leaving the board, and means you can slide heaps smoother.

how do you manage to spin the 720 without your wheels weighting the downhill edge?

That was so awesome! Music made me feel good, and the skating was great!

the hill in devon is in dartmouth :) rayne went there a few years back. its a great road and completely closed off! let me know if you go there as a live about 30min drive from it

@lngbrder888 Family is very well thanks. Don't really get out on the hills tho.... the usual things happened I changed job n work away so weekends are much shorter n more precious. Really wanna get back to doing some sliding tho always love watching it n know I have so much more stuff to learn n relearn..... surfings been going well tho N.devon gets hit up often. Will have to get out on the hill sometime be good to catch up with the old crews....: )

@Weely01 Hey dude, stoked you posted. Yeah still sliding the hard wheels and little decks. Dont do much else now! Hope your still getting out on the hills and the family is well.

@njapostol For most of the stand up slides you want your weight going straight down the middle of you and through the middle of the board. This means that you are nice and stable and you can then start playing with manual stand up slides. It will also give you nice and clean 360's rather than pivots. Just watch loads of videos and get out and practice!!

Hey Matt good to see some sliding on short boards with hard wheels. Been wanting to get back on board for ages. I'm gonna be rusty but I'm sure it'll be like riding a bike..... you never forget!

@lngbrder888 oh right. i normally class a long board as about 40" or longer e.g. loaded dervish. amazing riding btw. is your weight on your sliding foot or on the pivoting foot. i need to learn how to do it so i can hit some better hills lol

@njapostol What do you mean by longboard? Thats me in blue and white in the video on a longboard. Its only 34" but I would still call it a longboard! :-)
