TZORA Hummer XL Customer Interview
Просмотров 10 тыс.9 лет назад
This is an interview with John after using his TZORA Hummer XL for a few months. He has a vineyard that he needs to monitor the water system on a daily basis. The Hummer XL is ideal for traveling around his large vineyard. use on dirt, gravel loose rocks, and uneven terrain.
I've just purchased the mantis second hand I used the freewheel to move it onto garden now I have a red light flashing it dos it 8 times
Looks as though the rear wheels touch the upper wheel arch when going over the bump.
I was watching LifePo4 battery reviews on Will Prowse's mobile solar channel. His battery breakdowns give you an idea of the quality variations around. Additionally, product descriptions on Amazon say how many cycles to expect out of the battery. Vatrer was one brand that came up positively that actually offers the smaller batteries in the scooter style.
thanks for showing how take apart and put back together. good video but doesn't do well in grass. thank you.
scooter had for few years, just use now mailbox, so only used possible 15 times. was full charged and won't run. have still original paperwork and manual. keep on shed in winter, don't use in winter. bought up several RUclips how find fuses, because everyone kept saying it possible the fuse. never found fuses. your video only one show how put back together, once was apart. doesn't show clearly in manual, somehow weeds got down in cracks IT IS WORKING FINE NOW thank you so much. good video
can you change batteries to lithium
Can you make one of these for a 2021 Rubicon Jeep 4 door
Can you do a video on how to change the batteries on a tzora titan hummer xl. Nobody has done that. I'm disabled and have noone to help me, so I'll have to do it myself. Limited income so I can't afford to call a service tech come and do it for me.
But what I really need to know is one thing . .. WHERE is my DOG supposed to sit ? she is only 55 lbs but too big for the basket , can you put a wider seat on it ?
Yeah, it,s easy no doubt, nice ramps
What the price
Could you use it on a Ford escape I have a pride scooter
The base of the trunk door frame of my Jetta is 2'-3". I would like to know if a 6ft ramp is acceptable to move the wheelchair to the trunk using the wheelchair control.
Nice scooter,good video 👍🏽😊
Go up a hill, a real hill...13-15 degrees about 20 yards see how it handles it...
yeah, they never show you that.
I love mine. There are things I could change but really don't need to
Is it dual seater!
Genius
Where can it be serviced in western wash. Light blinks 7&8 times, won't start, battery charged
Is the motor in gaged. the yellow shifter in the back
Where can I find a service dealer, I love in western wash. Can't get scooter to start, battery is charged. The light blinks 7 & 8 times. So it is a short I think, but don't have any info on how to fix
Just because "brand X" don't fit properly does not mean their bad, or the product is bad.
IT IS THE RAMP MANEUVERABILITY INTO PLACE, THAT IS DIFFICULT FOR MOS TOF US.
Sorry Dan, We were talking on the phone and something went wrong with my phone. Thanks for your advice.
I watched a different video on this scooter and it does come apart for easy storage and transport. Can't you show that in this video?
I have an smart car, I did exactly what you said, unfortunately, I no longer can't fit in my car nor I can take the scooter out off my car Thanks for your help.
this scooter is badaSS, I LIVE IN CENTRAL CALI VISALIA CA, WE HAVE A BADASS 8 ACRE PARK WITH HUGE OAK TREES CANALS, BRIDGES LOTS OF GRASS THIS THING IS LIKE RIDING A DIRTBIKE AS A KID AGAIN, IT WOULD BE HARD TO FIT IN THE TRUNK OF A CAR, DISREGARD THE WHITE LINE ON THE SPEED KNOB AND TURN IT ALL THE WAY RIGHT, THATS FULL POWER, I HAD A MASSIVE STROKE 6 YEARS AGO, AND GOT MY TITAN A MONTH AGO, IT HAS ME OUTSIDE GARDENING AND THE BEST THERAPY IS A TITAN XL HUMMER AND AN 8 ACRE PARK, FUQING 10 STARS, I'VE RUN IT FOR 6 STRAIGHT HOURS, POWER METER ALWAYS STAYS PAST 3 QUARTERS POWER, IF CONCERNED TAKE THE SPARE BATTERIES OR CAR CHARGER WITH YOU, HOWEVER IF IT DIES ON YOU IN A CROSSWALK YOU HAVE TO TURN THE KEY OFF THEN ON AGAIN TO GET MOVING, IF NO POWER STILL, GET OFF AND UNLOCK THE BACK WHEELS WITH THE YELLOW LEVER BACK BOTTOM DRIVER SIDE TO UNLOCK WHEELS TO PUSH

Wow I never thought that was the way go open box
M from India. So can we buy this in India Bangalore
No for you
I love my Titan! But, what I'd like to see is the ability to move the seat forward/backward or turn it to the side. I hope that this isn't a problem due to the design of the unit. Also, I agree that the batteries don't last as long as they could. I went into the big city and parked about 1/2 mile away from the ComicCon and went around with my daughter to look at the venues, but my scooter had to be plugged in for a while to be able to run decently. Happily, she had a booth there, so I was able to pull up and plug my Titan in. After that, we drove it up to a restaurant then back to the car. We took it to the Grand Canyon where we ran it for about 2 hours up and down trails. It was great to be able to drive it while others were panting away and overheated. We really got some appreciative stares and a few grumbles. We really had a lot of stares and comments at our hotel in Las Vegas, especially when my husband took it apart and picked it up to store in our Buick Enclave! I will have to make a video next time we go out with it. We love traveling and camping! Hi-dee-Ho!
1 second ago this is a terrible scooter. i bought one for my father so he could go to the park and so on with us..scooter looks nice but the batteries that comes with them are extremely weak. my dad only weights 148lbs. this thing will get stuck on the smallest bump. you would have to back up and do full throttle to get over it.. on the grass the second you get on it the battery meter would go to yellow and red. after driving it for a half a mile the meter its copletely on red.. i though the firs one i bought was defective. since i got in on amazon i was able to return it..it took about 3 month to finally get the money back.. i bought another one thinking i just got a bad product... it did the same exact thing i took the batteries to a local place to chekc it and they said they were "good" so i call my seller and he had no answer he said they all do that. so if you plan to use this scooter for long trips or to go to the park and ride around on the grass this is not going to work. i got my father a travel one had it for 4 years and its 5 time stronger than this one.. i will post some videos i took when i first got it a year ago.. i did a test by putting a 2x4 in front of the rear tire and it would not go over unless i did a foot or so head start. so if you are on a close spot you end up crashing it. i did not get the scooter from this gentleman i got it from two different sellers on amazon and ebay..
I agree with you doesn't do well on fresh mowed lawn., grass.
Just got back from the dealer here in Melbourne Australia and was told the Lithium batteries weren't available in our country :(
Don't believe everything you hear: do your research. Lots of lying around this industry. You can use lithium iron phosphate directly as a lead acid replacement. The only two differences are: 1) your battery charge meter won't read accurately anymore 2) A lead acid battery charger will work, but lead acid charger does a float/trickle charge which will damage a LiFePo4, but if your are especially careful you can just uplug the lead acid charger as soon as the LiFePo4 battery is charged. Also uplug early if you are going to bed or otherwise not going to be around to uplug. Lithium likes hanging around at 40% when not in use, and overcharging is deadly.
what kind of canopy you have for the xl hummer scooter
i want 1 im from iraq
Where do I get the lithium battery charger? i bought lithium batteries for the Tzora Titan 4 but was only sent the acid battery charger. Help!
Hi Christine, Sorry for the slow reply I have not been working due to some health issues that are behind me now. I know they tell you that the lead acid charger is OK but I received a test set of the Hummer Lithium about a year ago. They are most likely the same ones you have that are made by one of the other TZORA dealers and not made by TZORA. Mine did not perform as stated on distance even soon after I got them. So they perform just as I suspected. They are no where good as lead acid. Bottom line to the issue is you just cannot beat 150 year old lead acid technology. Other than weight being a negative for lead acid dependability is your utmost requirement for any mobility device. One issue that is a major reason to not use the lithium battery is they have an electronic shut off circuitry inside the battery pack. This prevents the battery from discharging too far to the point that your charger will not recharge them. Essentially they will shut off completely at a set point of discharge. Hence visualize crossing a street at night and suddenly it shuts down, you cannot go another foot and you have no lights. The least problem you can expect is you are stranded for an hour after you find an outlet to charge the lithium so you can go home. Please let me know how things have worked out for you. If anyone has information of new battery technology that is available please let me know. Good Luck, Dan
The only difference between a lead acid and lithium iron phosphate charger is, lead acid does a float/trickle charge and lithium should be shut off or unplugged as soon as it is done charging. So if you are going to walk away or go to bed uplug early. Lead acid likes being at 100% all the time, and Lithium likes hanging out at 40% and overcharging is deadly to lithium.
Thank you, Dan. This was a very clear, concise explanation of the features.
Very clear explanation
Hi Dan, I am considering getting a Tzora Hummer. The things I worry about is seat comfort/width, and leg room. Most scooter companies use short/petite models to show in sales demo vids and pix. I am 6 ft tall and at the scooter wt. limit. You look like a big guy...what is your height?
The Titan works fine with 245 pounds and a six footer. The Bruno electric hoist will lift 500 pounds, easily switched from car to car by 4 bolts and powers up using a Viking Lithium Ion Jump Starter and Power Pack ($80, Harbor Freight) rechargable in car and eliminates wiring changes. A little creativity works wonders!
I know your comment Is old but maybe for others, don’t worry about the width of the seat because if you need a lot of width all you do is lift the armrests and tie them back and there’s no problem with the room then. I also added a seat cushion (one for outdoor furniture) and this makes it more comfortable. I have the four wheel scooter and the only problem I have is that you don’t have a lot of room for your feet especially if you’re larger around the mid section and need your feet to be wider apart. For that reason I’d love the three wheel version with more foot room, but worry about the stability on some of the areas I travel on outdoors.
The Titan does very well on steep and rough Forest Service trails as long as width is adequate. Scooters are legal ANYWHERE wheelchairs are legal. If Forest Service, State or National park people try to give you a ticket, tell them go ahead and it will be the last ticket they ever write. File a formal ADA complaint on line.
Thanks, well explained
Hi I am Dan at MobilityBuddies.com Red Woods commented below that his Bruno electric hoist works better than a ramp. I agree a hoist is better but there are several drawbacks. They are expensive, cannot be easily moved to another vehicle, require a technician to install and may not be compatible with some vehicles or scooters. The biggest drawback is you have to have a vehicle you can dedicate to have the hoist in the vehicle. Given the simple and easy procedure to load a versatile Hummer a ramp is a great system. In addition with a ramp you can have anyone with a minivan pick you up or even a taxi may work out as well. The ramp shown in the Video is an 8 foot oversize ramp I have for loading scooters into a customer’s vehicle regardless of how high it is. Most vans require only a 4, 5 or 6 foot ramp. I sell a pair of channel ramps that are light weight and can easily slide under the scooter for storage. The ramps collapse so the stored length is only 50% of extended length. You can access my online store at www.mobilitybuddies.com. Thank You, Dan Young
I too used ramps until finding a Bruno lift hoist for $200. Installation in a Subaru Forester was easy and cost $100 at a local trailer hitch place. The power for the hoist (12V at 6A) comes from a rear aux outlet and is also used with an inverter to power the Titan battery charger while driving, The hoist loads or unloads the titan in 1 minute. Took longer to install the ramps and unload. Hard to store the ramps inside too prevent theft. I'll take the electric hoist over ramps any day.
How do you store the ramps in the car? Thanks for the video, I have had mine for a year and a half and love it, however, service help is non-existent for it.
+btpuppy2 Hi There I am Dan I am in the Video. I have walking limitations and have ridden my Hummer and the Elite for many hours with virtually no problems. If you need service please feel free to contact me at our web store www.MobilityBuddies.com and send us an email. We are a service related Disabled Veteran small business. We sell mostly online and at this time only TZORA scooters. I have ordered and sold replacement parts and Diestco accessories for several customers that have purchased their scooter from another dealer. Storing a ramp is an issue. I have a lightweight collapsible compact ramp that can easily slide under the scooter for storage. It is available in several lengths. Let me know and I can send you info on it and it's price. I would be happy to help you out with any needs you have for service or just plain old advice. One tip I can give you today is if you ride where you may puncture a tire I have a solution called Green Slime that you inject into the tire that seals any puncture that may occur. Dan Young
Thanks for the video. I am from Israel where this is manufactured, but I guess the marketing dept works more abtoad and this is how I found your videos. The light small foldable ramp yu mentioned is also made in Israel, or did you find a supplier in the U.S?
Too hard to store ramps in an SUV. A Bruno electric hoist works better
I have used the Titan for about 6 months and find it perfect for "most" uses. The basket should swing around to the side for easy loading, the steering is not well designed and the seat should be adjustable for tall riders. WHEN, (not if) the batteries fail, I will modify the connectors and install much higher powered , readily available, deep cycle batteries for much greater range and use over time without recharging. The Titan would also be better with a real gear or belt low gear drive combined with the electronic 2-speed. I bought a used Bruno power lift hoist at Goodwill for $200 and now quickly load and unload from a Subaru Forester in minutes with no effort at all. A section of 3/4 bolt stock under the Titan seat allows an easy and balanced connection to the S-hook on the Bruno hoist. Now it's easy to ride State Park and some Forest Service trails for sightseeing. ADA says a power chair or scooter is allowed anywhere a wheelchair is allowed. Get outdoors and enjoy!
