This video is about Stetson University Hall. I just moved in a couple of days ago, and I'm loving this place. I was thinking of showing y'all this. I hope you enjoyed it or found it useful!
You're a sweetheart. That's brave.to open up about your anxiety you experience. My son is going to a 4 year college after he completes his AA here at home and I always thought Stetson seemed nice.
Hey I’m gonna be a freshman at Stetson for Fall 22 and I applied for priority housing for university hall with a pet. What are the chances that I could live there without a roommate?
Honestly, pretty low. The only time where someone was solo rooming was because their roommate left in the middle of the semester, and they couldn’t find another person.
Wait do then how much did you owed them after your first year?

Hiii, this is an upperclassman dorm. I got lucky. The freshmen dorms tend to be smaller and have communal bathrooms

How did it cost you $109,000 in total?!According to the U.S. Department of Education, the average cost before aid is ~$65,000. Did you just add up all of the money you spent at college that year? (Including eating out, gas, Uber, supplies, housing, tuition, books, clothing, etc.)
I looked at the final cost on my stetson account which included everything like what I was paying out of pocket, loans, and scholarships. The total isn’t including luxuries
@@helensins5564 I’m confused about that total too. Hopefully with my scholarship I won’t have to take out any loans but that is only the case if the total is around 70k/ year
Ik this is like a year late lol but is that the freshman dorm? N what typa dorm is it i heard u mention your roommate so is it like a separate room shared bathroom roommate or same room roommate?
I got lucky and got a upperclassmen dorm. This dorm is a suite dorm, so you and one roommate live together and shared a private bathroom together.

Wow they did do a lot of renovation to change the university inn into the school dorm...I spent few nights weekly there when I was in the MBA program. Pretty cool actually

Do they really charge you a fee if your bed is too high? My roommate and I want to lift our beds but if they’re gonna charge us, then I’d rather not :/

J Waites hi! They only charge a fee at the end of the year if you don’t de-loft it so you can loft if you want lol just have to put it back to a lower height at the end
Hi, thanks for being open about your experience. Do you know exactly why you didn't receive your full merit scholarship in tuition credits? I'll be attending Stetson this full and I would love some help navigating the steep cost.
Dèja Mae Robinson Yeah no problem! Stetson cuts up the merit scholarship, so for each semester, they would give/gave me $24,000 est. They cut it up so it’ll be used over the 4yrs there. My merit scholarship was $119,000 est.
@@helensins5564 oh my. Was that stated in the terms of your scholarship before hand? I'm not getting nearly that much but I was under the impression that it wouldn't work that way.
Dèja Mae Robinson tbh I didn’t really read the terms. I was surprised they didn’t just used the $119,000 on my first year, but it is for sure being cut up so you can’t just use it all for one year or so
@@helensins5564 if you could go back whst would you do differently? To make Stetson work for you financially I mean.
Dèja Mae Robinson I don’t think anything would’ve changed because I even worked for Stetson. I had grants, loans, and work study. I tried to find an outside job near Stetson and apply to scholarships but no luck. Honestly if they didn’t have the 2% tuition rise every year, it would make Stetson a bit more affordable. I tried my best to afford it but I barely scraped by.

Helen Sins I have that same fsem class!! Do you have any tips or advice you could give me about that class? Also are there any books that you still have that I’ll need? If so, can I get them? 😂
J Waites lol I have one online book if you want it. I just have to check how to give it to you lol all the other books I rented but I advise to never miss a class because you’ll need a lot of catching up plus participation is important too. I did like 10+ little to big essays so always be prepare and manage your time. Dr. Denner is really nice. She’s pretty lenient too. Anyways, time management is a thing to practice and have. I say at least start 2 weeks before an assignment and don’t wait last minute.

Dena Bee Yes, University Hall is the only dorm that allows pets
