Go daddy go You were great!❤❤
Beautiful ... sung so clearly. Reminds me of Hubert and Jeanette. Thanks for uploading.
I like these songs
I like these songs ❤❤
I can only think of maybe three other male singers who could sing this song in the style Elton does here...effortlessly hitting these high notes; Roy Orbison, Slim Whitman, and Autry Inman. Elton Britt had talent no end. Beautiful !!
Elton had a phenomenal voice. He was a bit before my time, but at age 73 now I surely do appreciate his talented voice.
Such a classic country tune...and so beautifully sung. This is a real gem! Thanks for posting !!
I'll love them all
I was raised sitting in their parents living room listening to them and my daddy play. Best times of my childhood
Beautiful uplifting poignant song. Thanks for the upload of more great talent. R. I. P. Peter
Very nice 👍👏👏👏
Nice tune amzing voice ♥️
One thing about RUclips, it’s opened a world of music we would otherwise not hear. Every day’s like finding a Babe Ruth card in the card shop. This song has some haunting organ work in the background. Amazing song and amazing keyboard work. The keyboard work is just incredible.
Killer guitar on this gem. Thanks for uploading this awesome track.
Should be far better known! Thanks for the UL, cheers, Gus from the UK.
Fine version from Larry Sparks, - very underrated player, particularly on his little breaks while singing. Thanks for the UL, Gus from the UK.
Will be sadly missed...
My daddy 😊
My to Jermaine lordcory jr
She has a beautiful voice!
She did live in Knoxville. This article talks about her life/career: www.knoxmercury.com/2016/03/10/the-underappreciated-career-of-folk-singer-joy-king/
Had never heard this version. Thank you. RIP Tommy Talton.
I am good friends with John’s daughter and wife!
THIS PEICE FROM EDDIE DRAWS TEARS EVER SINCE I HEARDTHIS RECORDING 1970. I SAW HIM LIVE, AND THIS WAS A HIGHLIGHT OF HIS PERFORMANCE. AND AS FOR HIS VOICE, GREATER THAN ELVIS… AND ELVIS HAD A GREAT VOICE.
Sadly today we lost Eddie
I think I picked up the rest of that stack in Bedford! At an antique mall in a barn on US-50 south? I've got copies of this on discogs if anyone is looking.
Yep, that’s the spot!
i like how he play rasgueos😊
thats some good stuff right there son. thank you for this.
Yes I Love Old Fashioned Gospel Music From The 1940s, 50s And 60s.
My best friend and I saw these guys at the San Mateo County Fair in 1976. We bought the album and never saw them again, and lost the album shortly thereafter. However, these songs have stuck with me for half a century. Thank you for putting this up here!!!
I remember him

That’s my great grandpa, whoever posted this… thank you 😢
This is as DUMB as the bible... who believes in this nonsense, WHY?!?!?!?
incredible record. great across the board but the subdued folk numbers take it for me. thank you for uploading!
Jim Allen was from Langley SC. I knew his family. We called him James. He came from a large family. The song was released in 1972 and received airplay on the now defunct am radio station WVAP in Burnettown SC. The last time I saw James was at his youngest brother’s funeral in 2007. I was 58 years old then and I believe James was around 70. He was living around Greer SC. He passed away a couple of years later. He was known as a gospel singer in my home town of Langley SC.
Thank you very much for sharing!!
I have been a fan of Bonnie Nelson ever since her days as "Transtar Rose" Milwaukee fan.
thanks for posting this haven't heard it in many years
I want to share some testimony: I was delivered from anxiety and depression and I want to THANK OUR HEAVENLY FATHER GOD, & PRAISE, WORSHIP AND GLORIFY HIM IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME FOR HELPING A SINNER LIKE ME. AND DELIVERING ME.

OMG I've been searching for this since I first heard it when I was like 5 or 6 years old way back in the 70s. My brother and I loved it. The creepiness of a song about a lunatic. We would sing it all the time. He since passed away but I know he is listening with me tonight as it brings back the memories of such carefree times! Thank you for this!!!
Thank you for sharing that story, I’m glad you’ve been reunited with the music!
Bonnie Nelson is now an ordained minister in Texas ❤
Just listening to CC Rider and it sounds like its sped up a bit to me ....IDK???
I guess he performed it faster than Elvis - that’s the way it is on the LP!
Very good...God bless you
Classic. Good music and creativity. Talking about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
