I had a guy come wash my solar panels. I saw a jug of rainx with his gear. After he left, I googled it…..not good. When i asked him if he used it he said he didn’t. Why was the jug there?? Anyways how serious is it if he used it??will using it once damage it?

u not suppose to spray under the panels in case wiring not isolated properly $600 to $800 more chances have damaging there panels or roof thats a gimmick bird netting a clean I say ok save u money im a solar installer thats if u want it done but u dont need it really

I live in the Palm Springs area and are looking to start cleaning solar panels, with that said temps out here in the summer get to 115, sometimes even in the evening. Is there any special precautions other than starting early when there’s no sun in the morning that I should consider? Thanx

Ahhhh!! How about run high pressure water lines on the top edge… have misting nozzles with RO water.. ! Automated..! What can’t that work. Same system can spray hot water with maybe a solution to keep them from freezing

I've noticed a trend among my family and friends who bought their solar panels under Edison's original billing plan-they're quite satisfied, especially those with backup batteries. They seem to love their setup even more. On the other hand, those who recently installed solar have had frustrating experiences. Many of them dealt with pushy solar brokers and are disappointed with Edison's new billing plan. This group is now advising others to avoid getting solar altogether. Businesses with solar panels, however, seem to benefit from third-party incentive programs with Edison. While this may make sense for them, for my friends and family, that +9% gain only justifies cleaning their panels once every two years. The other group, those who regret going solar, see the panels as more of a burden. This is just my personal observation. I think it's great that your business is doing well, but I can't help but notice that the market for solar panel cleaning seems to be slowly tapering off. How do you plan to stay afloat? It seems like growth in this area heavily relies on solar brokers offering good deals and Edison providing favorable billing plans. The +9% increase just doesn't seem attractive enough for my friends and family who are dedicated to maintaining their arrays. I’ve been curious do start a business like this for my little cousins, but I am very precautious of market landscape I set them in.

Im starting to see a bunch of companies in my area now offering solar panel cleaning and they're doing it for free. I see signs in people yards that say "XYZ window cleaning, Get a free complimentary solar panel cleaning when you get your windows cleaned". I mean its just getting really stupid out here now. and also I live in a college town and during summer break you got to deal with the college kids doing solar panel cleaning as a side hustle for beer money offering cleanings for like $50 buck...they're ruining the industry.
