Wonderbra fashion show video by Ernest Schmatolla.
Elsa Klench - I used to stay very late to record all her shows on VHS and than watch them all day everyday late 80's early 90s when MUGLER, MONTANA GAULTIER where ruling, VERSACE! The supermodels - I knew a lot about fashion and the chaos of THE NEW WORLD New york taking aim at FASHION CAPITAL - Times have change and NEW YORK IS NOT THE FASHION CAPITAL PARIS IS NOW THE ONLY ONE BECAUSE OF HAUTE COUTURE AND AVANTEGARDE - than Italy, England NEW YORK HAS ALWAYS BEING NUMBER 5 but with the internet and CHINA AND THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES creating cheapness The person who is reading this is the number one creater of his own self in fashion like RUTH SAID THROUGHOUT
I studied under Jack Stitsworth and Mister Fuller - I knew this info since the 80s and I have always being in love with him since I was 13 years old. Thank God he did not mention the 90s much! LONG LIVE VIONNET AND CHARLES JAMES, CLAIRE MCCARDELL AND MORE!!!!!! VIVA SCHIAPARELLI, POTUE, WORTH AND HIS SON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bill is more than a photographer !
@chrismayo2647..listen to elsa klench and ur magazines are no longer relevsnt in this agr of the internet. Wintour's word versus Klench? Klench all the way!!!

Such a blithe spirit! And I love his accent.
Brilliant street photographer with a sharp eye. Shot on 35mm film!
Bill seems like the sweetest man. He's a delight. I love his work. Thank you for this interview.
What a thoroughly delightful interview! 💙💙
Gosh I miss him so much!! <3
as a kid her voice was very intriguing and still is as an adult her show thought me about fashion SIP ❤
I am so sad to hear about the death of Elsa Klensh. As a young student of fashion in the 80's she was my teacher who introduced me too European designers, artists, home decor, and architecture. Elsa Klensh rest in style, I salute you.
My partner & I adored Elsa Klensch and her commentary on all things stylish and fashionable. She injected an element of humble sophistication to every interview.
Thank you so much!
Am curious too what year this was
Fabulous!
What year was this?
I was a fashion obsessed 12 year old Greek boy, running to catch Elsa on my scruffy CNN blurry connected TV set every weekend also during repeats cause I could never had enough! Thank you Elsa, I made a great career in fashion and in the last 9 years I m a lecturer and Educator in Fashion Branding.A little bit of my success was the result of your influence on me wholeheartedly 🤩
I must say i felt your story with my heart, i used to be a 14 chilean boy who also ran to se her on cnn hopping desperately that no other person would be using the only 1 tv in our house. She was one of the things back then that made me believe of a better future, withot discrimination. Im so glad you could made a career in fashion. Thank you so much for sharing your story, saludos desde Chile ❤😊
Let’s bring here back!!
Really appreciate finding this uploaded and having a peak into Bill's voice, Thank you so much

*Loved* watching this.
Just asking has Elsa's book came out in print yet?? Where can I get a copy? . I DO SO MISS HER, I WISH THAT SHE WOULD COME BACK WITH ANOTHER SHOW. SINCERELY LINDA MCCARTNEY
Absolutely awesome gentleman, Mr. C.
Thank you for sharing this - - I watched/listened to this while waiting for his book to arrive.
Lovely video on wonderful Bill Cunningham. Unfortunately, we will not see another like him. May he rest in peace am sure he is riding his bicycle in heaven. Thanks so much Ernest.
I used to watch Elsa Klensch in high school and then I got to be on Elsa Klensch when I was 26 years old runway modeling in the Tokyo Collections for Japanese designer Norihisa Ota's brand C'est Vrai. I have the video on my RUclips. It was her show Style With Elsa Klensch that I realized I had the high fashion model look.
Jamil Gotcher wow.
Elsa Klench remains my FASHION MOTHER. I knew a lot fashion wise from her. She covered the GIANNI VERSACE's tragic death story. I will forever love her.
I'm a fan of Bill Cunningham because of his integrity and life values. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for sharing this great interview of the late Bill Cunningham. When Bill passed away June 2016, 92nd Street Y was real nice in sharing with the public an in-depth interview of Bill for a short while. Bill is so knowledgable in everything that I can imagine a fashion heaven where Bill is there to help us appreciate all things fashion!
Interesting video. There are some audio issues however. Watching videos like these make me sad i did not start photography sooner. Ive always loved fashion and fashion magazines. I was always awestruck by the detail in the images. I have been published a few times on some E-magazines and even in Gladys magazine. I dont think opportunities like these will ever come up again. Although i am always on the lookout. I work in IT and am miserable - id love the opportunity to shoot full time. Anyway, glad i bumped onto this video. I too am from NY - The Bronx Frank
