We have trouble with some of the internal caps clogging with a film of fine soil and preventing the discs turning freely. A thin layer of soil forms in the grooves on the internal cap and also right around the edge of the internal cap between it and the external cap. This means soil cannot be thrown out of the gap in the external cap. Any thoughts?

The OptiStone overload protection is based on a new swivel bracket with high trigger and re-entry forces to ensure that the system is triggered softly and smoothly when an obstacle is encountered. This protects both tractor and plough.The overload element is easily able to deflect vertically up to 37 cm and horizontally up to 20 cm at the same time.

Is it common for the links inside the overload springs to break?
No it is not common. The link is part of the overload protection device. It may bent if the device flexibility of 6 inches is surpassed (acting shearbolt breaking) and other stressful movements occur on the device.
How do you switch between the discs and the power harrow
You can see the change of tillage equipment at 3:50 in the video. To change machines you Stop, Disconnect pins and hydraulics, Drive away. Then Back up with new machine to be reconnected.
