Great chord progression at the beginning. Jeff Buckley style. You made me grab my guitar and learn your riff! Your guitar sounds great.
thanks mate. I'm still thinking about record some stuff about Tonex One which is my new "OH MY GOD" gear. But I have lack of time. :(
GOOD
Sounds great …..did the original stacked p90s sound more like a humbucker ? If so I would probably want to change to standard p90s too.
I borrowed this gitar from my brother. Now this LP has gibson p90 and they are better in my opinion. P90 are simillar to humbuckers in my opinion but has more clear low end and little different attack.
Shame most if not all of their necka are flat, fukken hate thT
Sounds beautiful. They are very reasonably priced for what you get.
God, this review drags. Thanks though!
thanks!

Sounds amazing😅
thx mate
Thanks for sharing! I was thinking of buying one like this and since I can't find them in the local music store, I looked for one on the Internet. Glad to be able to hear one. It sounds good especially for the price.
I had mine bought in local store, which sounds impossible to be honest. I'm using it and it's ok in my opinion. :)
I wantttt this chordssssss
yesssss.... my precioussss... :D
This is definitely at the very lowest end of the range. If you think this is the best mandolin ever you need to try a few more 😂
I never said it was the best mandolin... it's good for the price. I play and I enjoy it. Let's just say it's Harley Benton quality.
Nice guitare good job harley benton ❤❤❤
It's not a 100% good instrument. This tele has a neck angle problem which was very annoying until I had it fixed.
Let's get real here. 6 alnico slugs, a former and a particular gauge and composition of wire wrapped a specific number of turns can be reverse engineered by a Chinese manufacturer to sound indistinguishable from a $200 boutique pickup. Only downside is it won't have the "right" name on it or the kudos that goes along with owning it. I bet if an A B comparison was made (except it was the same pickup both times) people would be hearing MAJOR differences between the supposed $200 one and the supposed knock off.
Give me the cheap pickups names made with good materials and sounds professional. I am not "expensivesoundsthebest man". I always look for affordible stuff, that's why I use gifmen pickups on my pacifica and ibanez humbuckers on my hollowbody old Defil instrument (shitty guitars well-known in Polish). DP pickups are ok for me for that price. They sounds and feel fat and colorful. ;)
@@mktheguitarist3942 Have a look at FLEOR pickups.
bridge look like from banjo
i looks like piece of sh.... wood
One of the problems with these instruments from Hora is that there is a much too shallow break angle over the bridge. This affects the sound quality & can even cause problems with strings slipping out of their slots in the bridge saddle. Also the tops on these instruments seem very flimsy & they tend to bow downwards under string pressure, possibly due to inadequate bracing. Their bouzoukis, octave mandolins & mandolas all have these problems, based on the ones I have seen. If you have only a few hundred Euro to spend on an instrument, APC from Portugal are much better designed and built, particularly their bouzoukis & mandolins.
Hi, It's a wonderful video. I like your sound. Could it be possible to have a small help to figure out what chord you're playing in the part starting at 10:22? I would really appreciate any help. Cheers.
Wonderful full rich sound, wow!
thanks :)
what is the tuning of this instrument?
E A D G, ranging from thin to thick. The sounds are duplicated.
Unison pairs
Love the sound you have at the start of the video. I'm usually and metal or Punk rock player, soon getting my first tele, and want to recreate the sound! What is the secret? Are you using certain pedals, maybe reverb or other?
hello, I'm fighting with sound since the beggining of my guitar way. All stuff I used I wrote in comment of video. There are few things in chain. First - guitar pickups. more expensive pickups are working more in the middle range. Second thing - valve preamp. It's more for changing the signal impedance becouse pod go is low impedance input. It makes sound more sparkle and full. Third thing is pod go it self. I use clean sounding amps like fender sim (in this video) or ampeg (bass amp) and custom IRs from some christmass free pack. I don't use distortions etc in pod. I have three external pedals before the valve preamp. Last things are reverbs. If you want to have sound like that you need to use two, or three reverbs like layers. I use plate reverb, searchlight reverb and plateux reverb from pod go. It's not about spend money but about what sound you have in your head. I use cheap stuff and trying to make it sound great.
Awsome sound! Great!
thanks mate!
Nice!
Are these pickups good for Brad Paisley type sound?
maybe... I don't know
what's this plugin?

@@mktheguitarist3942 oh nice is that a plug-in for maschine mk3
would love some of your presets wow for my POD GO
What the HECK are you playing? NOT Morrisons jig? Try as you may...it's NOT sounding Irish...lol
did you listen to my play till the end? :O I played morrisons jig... I learned this by ear. I sometimes play it with my wife. She on the whistle and me on the mandolin. Irish as hell.
I wanted to play some more ethnic style too becouse this mandolin sounds more ethnic than irish to me. I told about that in my review.
Jeeze, why is there always somebody like this in every video's comments.
Do you think this is better than affinity?
I don't know. Never played on affinity. But I think it depends on what you are looking for. HB is quite good base for upgrades. I like neck profile, more modern, thiner. It's ok but it's not feel like professional guitar in hands... but I have plan to change electrical circle, add tone bleed and to polish frets. It will feel more "professional" I hope.
🤘
And now without Reverb and Chorus.....with these effects and some equalizing on the amp every SC guitar sounds OK...
On this record I'm using gear I use everyday. I could say: every SC guitar with no fx, especially no reverb, sounds shity for me, no matter the price. ;) Maybe I should be playing without amp simulation. Just dry clean guitar signal straight to the audio recorder but no one plays guitar like that. Me too. :D
Sounds AMAZING
Thanks!
I had mine delivered yesterday from Thomann in Germany - took four days to the UK - out of the box the setup was spot on - action was as the most common recommendations I found on the Internet. Intonation was very good though just slightly out on the G sting which could be improved by a compensated bridge. Slight relief in the neck but there seems to be no reason to adjust the truss rod. No string buzz. Would heartily recommend!
I always wondered if one could do that by editing the file but I was more looking at copying Helix preset into the PodGo but this was too complex as the format is too different but I didn't think about removing the block I don't need. Awesome trick
I agree. It's awesome.
I ordered a set of Danish Pete pickups with wiring from Monty's about a week ago. Everyone says they sound great. I think I'll put them in a Squier I have.
The only way is to buy and check. But if most tells it's great, it will probably be great for you. There is possibility. I thinks this pickups sounds better on amp than streight to POD/helix.
Is roasted neck ?
In specs it called 'caramel maple'. I'm not sure what it is, but it's little bit darker so it's probably roasted. ;)
Yes, it is roasted maple.
Thinking about getting these to replace lollar p90’s. What’s anyone think ?
These are noiseless. If you are looking for more stable, less noisy sound, get them. If you are looking for clasic p90 sound, more dirty and for me better sound, get gibson's pickups. ;)
Hey man! Does this work with the new 1.4 update? And if it doesn't is it possible to downgrade the firmware from 1.4 back to 1.3? Thank u!!
Hello. Didn't see 1.4 yet. I hope it still works. I need to check that. About downgrade... I'm not sure but I think that update are worth of instaling becouse line 6 give us new amps, fx and options.
@@mktheguitarist3942 yes..it works. I've that version and I can remove any block
@@sanzanig Great to hear that. <3
Great demo!! Would you happen to know the value of the potentiometers you used for the volume and tone??
There was stock one. This is my brother's guitar and now it has new pots with tone bleed on both volumes. It also has gibson p90 pickups and for me gibsons are much better. It's becouse fralins was noiseless and had less dirty sound. I need to borrow this guitar again and record some demo.
Hi I tried to do this just can't.Could you send me the preset and how do I get my email to you ? Thanks so much.
hi, write me on wanteldrochim@wp.pl I will send you the preset.
Hi I have a DSL 20 Marshall arriving soon. How would I wire the pod go if I use just the 10 blocks.Main out into front of amp and then just use the send and returns as usual on both pod go and Amp ? I will be experimenting .Thanks for the post.Great playing and sound btw.
If you want to use it as fx you can do that: guitar -> amp in -> amp fx send -> pod go guitar in -> pod go out -> amp fx return. Or just: guitar -> pod go guitar in -> pod go out -> amp in. If you want to use for example tube screamer as amp boost and reverb on fx you should leave fx loop in pod go chain and use 4 cable wiring which is described on pod go user guide. Then you can split pod go signal to amp preamp and amp fx loop. ;)
This is incredible , can you remove the amp and cab too?
no need for me for doing that but yes, you could
@@mktheguitarist3942 You cannot remove the amp, cab, or static eq blocks. Technically you can remove them, but if you try to alter the preset after to use those blocks you will get errors.
@@toddkc3181 the only way is to check all file and try to understand what it mean. I said that in video: I tried that and figure out that it's not working. I could try to make it work but honestly, I don't want to spend my time on thing I don't need. :D Last time I conected pod to amp and I'm using pod preamp imitation and it sound ok for me. I can get few different amp sounds on the same amp.
@@mktheguitarist3942 No, there is no way. Those three blocks cannot be removed. I understand you not wanting to spend time on something you don't need, but I'll save you and anyone else the time...it isn't possible.
@@toddkc3181 Ok, then thanks for your response and sorry for misleading.
Hora are made in Romania. Thanks for posting ✌️
Yes, I told that. Probably you didn't notice. ;)
You keep calling it "guitar". With 4 courses of doubled strings, it would probably be ok to call it by what it is -- octave mandolin or bauzoki, depending how it is tuned and played. Thanks, it is a nice looking piece of work. Bob
@@robertshorthill6836 I'm not sure how it used to be called abroad but in Poland most of people will say 'guitar'. I'm always split between call any instrument different. For me violin, viola, cello and double bass could be soprano violin, alt violin, tenor violin and bass violin like is done in other intruments like flute, sax, trombone etc etc. For me guitar is everything with neck and resonance box, even lute or ukulele. I treat 'guitar' as a group of instruments with neck played by fingers/pick. ;)
Never seen a compressor between the amp and cab in a Helix setup. Why not before the amp?
Try then. ;) I checked all possibility and it works best for me. Before amp it will decrease the dynamic and amp will be distorted mostly all time which is not what I want from it. After cab it would work similar to 'between mode' but I use cabinet's high pass filter to delete low frequencies. It is known problem that compressor gives more bassy sound. And most important thing is to blend compressed and dry signal (mix) to have about 80% of compression. It just sounds the best for me.
Nice Chords!
thanks mate!
can you send me that preset? i open preset file on notepad++, the coding only apearr in 1 line, its so long and hard to find the code
yes, of course. Give me an email.
Budget guitars are well built, but it shows put in decent pickups, can dramatically change the guitar, that guitar is now a definite keeper, look at the price of upgrades , with the price of the guitar you're still under 500quid, now you have a guitar that can go against the more expensive telecaster no problem
thanks. I'm not sure becouse I have never been playing expensive tele. That said... fender is known of beeing "best" tele, but if someone say "fender" I'm little confused if he/she mean fender custom shop, american professional, vintera, player or... maybe squier classic vibe, affinity? This is so much missunderstanding in "fender" word for me. There are awesome guitars and there are shit like affinity. Anyway as you said HB is still very very affordible. If we are talking price it will beat any player or vintera fender and sounds much better for me. I try to get 200% from my stuff and learn how to sounds great. I've heard custom shops sound like shit becouse of bad player. And that's the point. HB is mega playable for me (I prefer more thin necks, more pacifica style than classic 50 fat vintage neck). I love the sound and I love playing this guitar. It inspires me to write new pieces and riffs and that is the most important for me. Cheers!
Which IR are you using ?
I'm using Fen_ViL_Utah_SM21 which was given as free Christmas Pack by Seacow cabs. They gives some free pack so you can try to find something working for you.
Dude that sounds fantastic and your playing is on point!🔥 Currently waiting for this guitar, since shipping is delayed for a couple of weeks. I planned on upgrading to the dp51‘s before i saw your video and now i definetly will put them in! This was like the perfect video i could stumble across😁 Cheers
Thanks! I wanted to do comparison between rosewells and DP51s but... it will take to much time. Rosewells sound good but I would say cheap. Neck was more hifi without this specyfic midrange punch and bridge was thin. The difference is in sound, feeling and details. In better pickups, the balance between the neck pickup and the bridge pickup is always better. You don't feel such a frequency spread when you switch. That said... I had this pickups in Vintage v62 Reissued before and I was little bit disappointed. Not becouse of pickups but becouse of guitar. I thought tele is just not a guitar for me and I wanted to give it up. Well, but I bought the HB and I believe that this is not a telecaster issue, but a model issue. HB sounds more near to Purple Tele and works great with tube screamer imho. Let me know how it's working when you get yours!
@@mktheguitarist3942 thanks for your in depth answer! I will come back to you when it finally arrives. Unfortunately it will take another 4 or 5 weeks, because it seems to be out of stock.

Thanks! I have to mention that I was sick and couldn't play through the blisters on my hands. I'm getting better but still... I need to get a little move to my stiff fingers :)
@@mktheguitarist3942 Well, it seems like blisters are nothing for u ❤️🩹
WoW , that sounds awesome . How do you record the guitar ?
Thanks! As I mentioned in comment under the video I used POD GO, cheap demon tube screamer (bought from Aliexpress two years ago), custom overdrive working for me more like plexy and behringer tube preamp (for better sound). POD GO straight to PC by USB. Two days ago I changed my preset and now I'm using IR which is much much better than oryginal cabinet you can hear on this recording. ;)
Great video ,thank you. Awesome sound and beautiful chords!I have a te52 harley benton ,(i modified it with fender tele 64 vintage pickups, new pots , new brass saddles ,new tuners ,new nuts ) but even before these modified ,it sounded very very good especially at neck position. Can I ask you where i can find good IR for the pod go? Thanks ,grazie, greetings from Italy
the Neck PU of the TE62 is pure Magic. Never Ever will I swap that 🔥 Never use the Bridge on a Tele so dont care for that one 😎🤘🏻 The only Thing I had to change on the TE62 were the String Trees....they were kinda loose at the upper Tree Part and with every tuning it made a scary Clickclack Sound 😅
For me bridge tele is real kick ass on hard rock/rock or even metal rhythm riffs. So clear and crunchy sound. mmmm <3 About the oryginals PU - there are ok but... there are two things: sound and feeling. I can record the sound but I can't give you a feeling of playing really professionall instrument. I love the way DP51 are woring in this HB (on Vintage V62 was't so great for me). Neck is mid ranged and more pressented than originals and bridge, as I said, is BAD ASS on overdriven sounds. After that it's still affordible and plays like more exensive than 420 dollars. I really recommend that PUs. About string trees... I recorded "standard" becouse I just bought that and I wanted to record exactly what anybody can get just by swap to DP51 PUs. I have a plan to change some stuff, soundproofing for electronics, bone saddle, locking keys, better bridge. We will see. Cheers!
