The Generation II era of Pokémon was one of the best eras of Pokémon in my opinion.
Why have the Pichu Brothers been absent since Generation V? They used to be everywhere. They were in merchandise, they had short films, and they even had a train ride at the now defunct PokéPark from 2005-2006. Then, they made their latest appearance in Meloetta's Moonlight Serenade before Kyurem VS. The Sword of Justice, which is also the first time Jynx and Kadabra appeared in the anime since Pokémon the Series Ruby and Sapphire. Also, it marks the anime debut of Porygon2 and Porygon-Z. At the beginning, it features every Pokémon revealed by that point (including the Porygon line and excluding Genesect). Then, after that, the Pichu Brothers have been completely absent. I wonder, has The Pokémon Company completely forgotten about the Pichu Brothers? They are some of my favorite Pokémon characters. Satomi Kōrogi who voices Pichu Little voices Pichu in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. How could The Pokémon Company just abandon the Pichu Brothers? They need to return someday. This year in 2024 is TV Tokyo's 60th anniversary. They've brought back a whole lot of characters and Pokémon back to the anime, like Tracey, for example. I hope someday they bring back the Pichu Brothers, I'm sure people would just love that.
Pichus came back in Generation VI/VII/VIII. Hopefully the Pichu Brothers will be back on Pokémon Horizons.
