Healthy Trees Healthy Cities: Stewardship
Its north of thunderbay on my property
I am 1 hour north
Question I have an ash that is completely stripped and been like that for awhile. But it is growing from the bottom new sprouts up. They are a several feet high now. Is this new growth meaning it is alive? If so, my plan is to cut down the trunk as much as possible as it's dead and try to keep new growth.
I would love to round up some seeds from KS trees to send to somewhere. EAB has marched through NE KS and is now invading the SE parts of the state where I live at. It's marching through SW MO too.
What would I have to do to get firewood from Wi to AZ? Is it possible?
Diseases like in the soil I think I seen it in a cartoon when you flip around the soil.
Like gang green trees.
I thought all viruses and bacteria comes from trees!
If i see a 1½ inch beetle with giant pincers imma mind my own goddamn business
Hallo sir Do you know how to control avocado Scorching shoots?
I like it.
ok good I thought the Black Walnut was almost extinct at least on the east coast I see so few.
I bought a baby black walnut tree this year, because I LOVE black walmuts trees and their majestic beauty and amazing qualities. My baby is not doing good, the leaves are turning brown and dying. I have tried copper and neem, nothing seems to be helping. To be clear its a two year old plant. Everything was fine then the deer ate many of the leaves and then all of a sudden the grow back leaves were turning brown. I need help. I need to save my tree. My parents have a horse farm we used 5 year old manure for the tree with great drainage (rocks and sand) I love my tree please help. Thank you
But did it dies?
Why the annoying music?
This is not how i remembered rick and morty
I bet most of that "firewood" at a lot of campsites are from a completely different location anyways. Maybe a problem?
Best of luck keeping this problem out of your State and elsewhere. We have a lot of Black Walnut trees in Denver, CO. For a good example of what similar infestation has brought just look to Florida and Citrus Canker disease and now Citrus Greening.
Cherry leaf roll in Ca Black line virus My tree seems fine. Thinking of painting the base. I don’t think this is accidental.
Can you guys help me diagnose the mite I have hurting my avocado trees and other fruit trees? It’s translucent, has a couple of dark spots and is small enough to see with naked eye but you can’t see details very well unless you use a magnifying glass etc. it seems to be a borer and wood/bark/cambium layer eater. It has made so much damage to my avocado trees with lines/tunnels I think they are and small holes. I know it’s the mites 100% cos I have them inside on my avocado seedlings which are all infested cos I had them all near each other.
Public relations movie!
I promise never to move firewood.
Interesting. There is concern of those in NC right now.
Hi , please give your what's up number...
they are in Maine
So where has this in black walnuts been seen?
It's native to the western United States, we have it in Colorado.
did they get an acting career
I'm not saying you should move firewood, but as with everything, there must be a cost/ benefit analysis done. Are the regulations (or potential damage done) so burdensome on citizens that they outweigh the cost of not moving firewood (or thousands of other regulations and laws that micro-manage every aspect of our lives). Because it is government bureaucrats being paid (conflict of interest, or one sided) there is no analysis done, let alone debate or input from citizens who will have to bear the cost and burden at least twice. Can human beings or the government really control the entire state or nation, to prevent invasive species from entering certain areas and causing damage? Lastly, taxpayers have to bear the financial expense or burden for agencies like the California Department of Agriculture (1/3 of a $Billion a year).
So completely different than Southern California I'm wondering if something is crazy is that I couldn't sell out here in SoCal did you say avocado wine
1 min intro is to long
Hello i am from Avocadonepal, I want to know more about avocado wine and the problem in the plant , like different diseases, Thanks

I'm tired of these motherf*cking beetles in these motherf*cking trees

on till the people of the world acknowledge the fact that GEOENGINEERING of our planet is going on thats the spraying of nano particulates of aluminum, strontium, barium, and god knows what else being sprayed into our sky we will watch the biosphere die and then us nature will bat last and take us out. If we dont stand up for her sometimes i wonder if its to late we have done so much damage go to geoengineering watch to learn more
These trees are not dying from pests or any other tree disease . They are being poisoned by the weather modification program that has been going on for years and years. We are being lied to. God help us.
I've got a 20-foot-tall, 5-foot-wide stump of a 200+-old ash in my back yard that was a victim of Hurricane Sandy if anyone wants to come carve it into a work of art....
Hi
Haha I love the song playing in the beginning of this vid. Kinda reminds me of Home Alone.
that was cute
Very nice, although technically sudden oak death is a fungi, not a bug.
hahahah ]
This'll get some attention. A subject vital to our planet's future health.
Why does the forest ranger win? That's not how it's really happening.
What company animated this video?
This is a well produced public service announcement. Check out our RUclips channel, PSAs, and other videos. Thank you, Tennessee Riverkeeper.
Great Video, only problem ending credits, no "Beatles were harmed in the filming". That was wrong, and you loose credibility for that mistake. Video talks about eradicating them and shows trees 'their homes' going down, and being put in a wood chipper. For honesty sake just remove that part. Besides that a great video, and scary. We will be looking out for these Beatles.
i hate to pay them high prices for firewood at the camp sites klim dryed lumber has no bugs and no bark is that ok to take camping
Here's a question, what does Asia do about these beetles ?
@bam6956 pallets are kiln dried wood and dont have any bugs in them
