Don't mess with Miles while he is improvising!
This excerpt is extracted from minute 40:44 of the "Miles Davis Quintet Live at Teatro dell'Arte in Milan, Italy on October 11, 1964".

:)
And the great Wilt Chamberlain on bass, ladies and gentlemen!
This is probably the funniest shit I seen in a long time
John hancock . . . It's Herbie Hancock!
Miles was apparently mad at everyone at one time or another.
Lucky he didnt do it playing with Mingus .😂
Teaching today's players how to do it stoned to the max.
Were you rushing or were you dragging?
I have watched this at least 500 times in the last 30 days.
...and like the genius he is, Miles simply took it in a slightly different direction. Welcome to Masterclass, by the CHIEF.
It was improvisation. I guess he was mad that Herbie didn't follow his lead. Tried to take it elsewhere.
And he was a woman beater.---- Miles.
Herbie Hancock is 100 times the musician that Miles “Mr. Nasty” Davis is.
...and Clam on bass
everybody's overthinking it, Hancock goes after Davis phrase and this shows a lack of originality in every jam session between real musicians let alone a concert from this monster band
I named my cat Myles Davis for exactly this reason
Miles Davis: "Do not fear mistakes. There are none." Also Miles Davis: *I am going to kill you Herbie Hancock*
Was this nigga ever NOT angry?! Herbie did nothing wrong here.
Nothing to get upset over. What a diva.
He's not mad, just kind of blue
Sir, I’m Miles Davis! Cool and I’m Hancock! 🙂
That's my expression when I get to Burger King a minute after it closes
Miles was a hard man to work with
Who was Miles NOT mad at?
Miles was a prick. Just like Buddy Rich.
"mad"
Seems like he was always mad at someone
I would really prefer if you'd be quiet
Prima Donna come in a shapes, sizes and colors and Davis was no exception. Get over and just play Davis or take your flute little boy blue and go home.
Primadonna
I don't think he was mad, I think he was paying attention to Hancock's playing.
He alway's was a moody piece of work ......😂😂
Miles Davis was mean 😂😂🤣🤣
Miles always had a hair up his butt about something.

Queen of brightness
Over-rated! I never saw the big deal or alleged genius in his playing.
Tony Williams was only 17 at this point, Amazing!
After reading Miles Autobiography, he says he'd walk round Herbie as if to chop his hands of to stop him over playing...play nothing. He loved this line up, Hancock, Carter, Williams, Shorter.
He played a butternote
Its like they are drivning cars on a highway and Herbies’ car drives up to close to Miles’
I would never have suspected anything was even slightly amiss unless I saw the title and comments, just another chill mellow jazz session.
Herbie played the wrong thing and Miles had to make that thing sound like it was right.
I remember Herbie talking about this... he said fumbled and played a wrong chord, Miles played right through it, and then gave him that death stare.
I personally can’t stand to listen to Miles. He makes my skin crawl. Love me some Coltrane, Hancock, Monk, Armstrong, Gillespie. I think Miles Davis was so full of himself that you could hear his massive ego come thought in his music.
Who says he's angry? Just saying things just to say things I see. Corny.
Miles: fuck I wanna fire you for that but you’re still too good
Never fired Herbie though because he loved Herbie.
I saw Miles in Central Park, NYC in the 70's. He became angry with the conga player for playing back his rhythms, stopped playing, and went to yell at him.
Herbie Herbie definitely was cock blocking 😂😂😂
