Westwood Instruments Alt Piano Demo
I wrote this short demo for the @westwoodinstruments Alt Piano.
I have to say this piano library is going to be my new go to for soft, beautiful piano. Its ability to blend between ‘normal’ and felt is amazing and the sound design features in the library are fantastic. All layers in this are directly from the Piano Library!
I used a mixture of old, new and stock (just the spreading ice) footage for the visual and had a nice time putting it all together.

IT'S THURSDAY NIGHT - METAL COVER
Просмотров 6 тыс.2 года назад
I love DnD and I love Critical Role. When I heard the themetune for campaign 3 I KNEW I had to make a metal cover for it. So here it is! All music and recording is me and recreated. It was really really fun picking out themes and motifes in the themetune that I wanted to incorporate in the cover. I also added some synth layers which notes aren't in the original song but I thought sounded great ...

BLENDING THE SOUND OF LIP GLOSS AND A HARMONICA?! Morph SC Demo
Просмотров 2484 года назад
So my friend told me about this totes MENTAL plugin called Morph SC by a company called Zynaptic. The idea behind it is to morph the characteristics of two sounds together - for example, Mick Gordon used it to blend a distorted guitar and a chainsaw together to make the guitar tone he used for DOOM. Pretty cool, eh? If you like the video - like, fav, subscribe yada yada. Thanks!

Critical Role Your Turn To Roll - POWER METAL COVER
This was a treat to listen to. Thank you.
Yasha, Grog, Ashton, and The Owl Bear walk into a bar……
This demo was a trip man enjoyed everything you poured into it
good sound!
Sick sound. I was thinking about these pedals today and found this video. This sound isnt too far from the ehx metal muff that I i have
Great ❤
I just bought this plugin because of this video and then after buying it I watched this video to understand it. lol. Liked and subscribed.
Many thanks for the walk through. It was very informative. Your recommendations are spot on and I sure hope they listen. There are some free ones out there with the points you raised.
Yep you're 'bloody' right dude... you failed. Maybe you should learn to play the bass before publicly exposing your (tee hee) talent.
Want to change where 'things' (a highly descriptive word for such a deep dive) offer more random elements to the sequence? Stick an LFO after it. Want to go deeper? Put Hexcel inside an instance of VCV Rack, then place an LFO or Wavetable modulation, etc, on to any aspect of Hexcel you want. Could make it much better, though Hexcel should offer such options by default. Difficult to not see at least basic lfos on any vet these days.
Damn, came for a demo and ended up head banging to your sick riffs, well done man 👏
Read the manual!!!
No humanized melodies. I'll pass. Sounds just like another arpeggiator imposter.
They added a "swing" option.
Really nice dude! Love your track. The Audio Imperia stuff is very cool. Used them a lot on my latest tracks.
💃 P r o m o s m
so many awesome production goodness in here :o - loved the speech arpeggiator trick!
The best part is my personal games are on Thursdays.
I've had this same pedal since 2010, it still works. But agreed it's so complicated. I've never changed anything on ir been game to adjust the knobs on top. I only use the various different patches using the bottom 2 foot buttons
Zoom.. lol
Not nearly as flexible as Zoa and Ooda, which both do similar things and move with incoming notes.
Zoa and Ooda seem to be iOS only. Hexcel works on actual computers which are more suited for professional music creation.
You can certainly try = Golden moment of this song. Beautifully done sir
The C1 effect is the one configured by the previous owner. Factory effects are numbers without letters. You could get such and better sound yourself by using the settings. I'm writing through a translator, sorry.
No. From user manual : (C1) ODB Simulates the ODB-3 overdrive bass machine from Boss. Proper mixing of original sound gives fat overdrive without losing bass response.
Thanks for the overview. Nice work. You might like stepic. I think Hexcel needs to be paired with something like Scaler 2 which can dictate a chord progression and then act as guard rails for the notes coming out of hexcel. Check out the "keys lock" mode on scaler 2. Scaler is a must-have if you're into midi tools. It's not to expensive either.
Can you use a guitar with these pedals?
I still have a soft spot for the Zoom B2 an B2.1u that I've been using since 2005, far from perfect especially today but there is a lot of utility and groovy tones. I have several of them and have perfected the sounds I needed from standard fare using the Bassman or B15 models and room verb to some pretty out there effects patches. I have one B2 filled with synth sounds, I replaced my Deep Impact with it.
Danelectro started making pedals in 1996. They have several different series all with sort of their own themes
Thanks to your Video I bought One 2 months ago for $49 USD MINT condition, I read the Manual for 15 minutes to understand the Basic concepts and got it running right Away. Don't be LAZY Joe Hamilton read Manuals, Thanks for your great videos Keep up the good work bro.
Not a single negative point? Kinda sus
Not bad, really. Especially the growly parts were really fitting.
I really enjoyed this video entirely. I loved your honesty and I really like the track you made. I respect what toy said and I learned a lot from your commentary. It made me want to check it out myself to see what u can discover. Thank you for sharing with us all.
absolute garbage lol
wtf is that intro
3:40 "black" means 'activated' - such a failure of a UI on behalf of ADSR… shame really!
это очередная шляпа для диванных битмарей-звукарей, которые ни когда не учились музыке, но очень хотят ее сочинять на халяву, нажав три кнопки на компе.
Original owner, and mine still works like a champ!
sitting Beside me now ZOOM B2.1U I Use it for My yamaha RGX Yes He works perfectly as A guitar pedal U have just To tweak The effects and safe them And Believe me when i say he is better than the G zoom Because he made for the bass he is more powerful If U know what i mean
The low end response on this pedal is absolutely wild. This manages to have enough focus even with that low end that when you're in front of the cab, even a strat feels like its trying to kick you in the gut.
Straight fucking fire.
Talvez, encuentres un tutorial en RUclips de como consultar el manual de usuario que cada aparato trae de fabrica.
Bought one years ago. I only ever used the presets. I’d go through phases of using the SVT mode. Then I’d try others. Never used the knobs on the top….always the A0-whatever it went up to. Then I’d try other amp sounds. Not great, has loads of effects that you are never going to use, but it did the job for me. Yes…you need the manual for easy patch access. But when you find the ones you want, you are sorted. I still occasionally use it, but I use the built in EQA sounds on my Fender Rumble. I also use a Dunlop MXR DI80 if I’m not using my Fender Rumble.
Thanks for the vid ! But all I can say is...rtfm...!!!!! :-D The pedal has much more possibilities than mentioned / found. You are right about the display though ! :-)
It's a really good little box. I just didnt like the flanger fx so i added an electro harmonix flanger to get the post punk sound i wanted to have. I even used it on stage!
this pedal rocks. just got one and can’t turn it off. surprisingly versatile and sounds fantastic with the volume knob rolled back. adds a lot of low end and punch going into distortions/drives/dirty amp of all kinds.
That final growl!! Loved this, sounds absolutely amazing! 🤘
If there was a D&D anime; these people need to be hired to do the anime intro.
is C1 patch is able for deathcore genre or what are fx needed for deathcore? please help
3:40 is that Devon Townsend?
Ive been using this for a while and i love it, imma get an actual wah pedal so i can be a cliff butron copycat :D
Live from Edmonton it's Thursday night
What about Stochas, have you used or heard of that?
