All lesser known tunes by Woodkid I know of: The Deer, Go, The Sharks and the Crows, Volcano. *Edit:* A cover of Lana Del Rey's Video Games, Do you love me after all (Demo), Towers, Never Let You Down feat. Lykke Li (Insurgent soundtrack), he was featured in "Clear" by Panteros666, he's co-wrote the soundtrack to Ellis (short movie by JR with Robert De Niro, with the ending part of "Winter Morning I" from 6:47 standing out as the most beautiful part to me). And we've all heard the Desierto Soundtrack (with "Land of All" having the only vocals). Carol No.1 is one of the songs in a collection known as "Woodkid For Nicolas Ghesquière - Louis Vuitton Works One, 2019" Does anyone have any other songs by him that aren't part of the Golden Age album or the Iron EP? I mean, sure, there's the Happy (Woodkid Sad Remix) and the Born to Die (Woodkid Remix), but I'm sure I'm missing lots. I heard about a cover of Teenage Dream and another cover and there's probably a lot of extra material in his live concerts.
Oh, yeah, a cover of Lana Del Rey's Video Games and a demo version of "Do you love me after all".

anyone else have the feeling the violin at 1:38 somehow sounds familiar? i think it's a song i've heard before put can't quite put my finger on it. then again i could be imagining it. anyone?
This song sounds like it's done in the same key as a lot of Danny Elfman tunes.... It also makes me think of the violin in the "Psycho" theme which is repeatedly sampled in Busta Rhymes' "Gimme Some More" *shrug* I'm really just shooting in the dark, cause it does sound really familiar, and whenever stuff sounds familiar it's usually just in the same key as something you know.
Ken Zang yes you're right. i considered the possibility this violin might be a faster paced version of the one in "Calamity" by Two Steps From Hell as it does sound alike but i'm sure it's not where i heard it before.

hujif V for Vendetta is the first thing I thought. Lot of dramatic "awakening" scenes in that movie. That or some space movie. /:
I don't know if the exact chord sequence is used in any other song (probably it is) but the way the chords are broken down into single notes is very common in classical music. In pop it reminds me of "Bliss" by Muse (piano, watch?v=eMqsWc8muj8#t=16).
