@@Unwillingnes unfortunately yeah you still have to find all drink zones. Tripod is in your discretion because you might blow out other animal zones. If you’re not worried about it, I wouldn’t worry. I don’t use tripods for my bear grind in SRP.

@@Fisher.j.l honestly when I did my red deer grinds, anything that weighed 185-210kg and less I left. Instead of “trophy managing” i based it off of weight which made it so much easier

@ I’m sorry about earlier, I just looked at my map. It’s been awhile since I hunted red deer but I checked my zones. Red deer under trophy rating 150 I left on the map.

@@kingston5826 you have to have your main zones at least partially stacked with diamonds. Start with a fresh restart(main menu) and when you load the game back up shoot ONLY the large solo and animal from your hard. You can restart the drink time or let the 15 minute IRL time pass without shooting anything else of that species to let the game respawn 50/50 chance it would work. Hopefully that helps you

@@tank.4496 I really appreciate it, I only mentioned the “map acting funny” because of my 3 great ones it happened the same way. But you’re right it could be a myth and purely coincidence. The rotation right before my GO spawned I had 2 Dimes a piebald and albino it was a crazy hunt for sure.

@@tiesvandiepen3769 how many main zones are you trying to rotate on? Try shooting just your solos and not an animal from your main zone see how the game respawns when it doesn’t have an animal to replace it

@ what do you mean? Wont my solos just respawn a little bigger or a little smaller every time i shoot them?

@@tiesvandiepen3769 yeah they should respawn as something new. Hopefully smaller, it’s like playing tag. Once they get below the trophy rating of 150 (all solos) start shooting your main zones again and you will see them get larger. The swapping method works sometimes but I think it would have to be in the same home range for it to work (just my theory)

@@Th3Skipp3r ah alr, so shooting solos makes them come back sorta random? Or how long does it normally take for a lvl 4 solo to become a smaller one

@ it’s really based off of rng(random number generator) that the game uses. If you have your main zone stacked with diamonds. It really shouldn’t take too long to shoot down your solos

It’s definitely rough but makes it that much more rewarding

Swapping is very viable! Drop the level 4 solo and do not harvest! Drop the small level 2 in your herd zone and exit the map to force them both into the “respawn bucket” at the same time. 50/50 chance to swap.

Thanks for making this. I really appreciate it. It makes it so much easier than the way everybody else has been doing it. I am on the quest for my great one. I have been able to get to Diamond out of that hourglass wake up in the top and continuing to hammer all my floors as we speak because my math has been acting really weird ever since.

I used the Strandberg recurve from a tree stand for my 1st GO. So much fun lol.

@@JBizHunts no your not wrong, I use the cyclone to clear out that zone since I have roughly 25-30 Fallow. Started out as an experiment but they all respawn consistently so I take about 6-8 down each rotation.

@ damn! That was a condensed zone! Mine are way more spread out on my Te Awaroa map!

@ 😅 product of my own design, I didn’t like a bunch of small zones around those lakes so I blew them out and they all merged which gave me a better way to set up on it. I only have 5-6 zones I rotate on.

@@Th3Skipp3ris it just blowing the zones on a lake and only keeping one? Do they just consider all of the deer as a herd or is it multiple herds in different but neighboring zones? (I’m very much wanting to see this size of herd on my main zone when I eventually start my grind XD)

@ blowing out a zone refers to removing the zone by shooting more than 4 in it without a hunting structure. A lot of people freak out if they “blow out a zone” but I use it as a tool to manipulate the map to get the deers where I want them. If used correctly it can be super helpful and it helps you learn where the “home ranges” and where solo respawns could be at. On the zone like mine, it can be overwhelming. I have 30 Fallow in it. I often take the pellet rifle while I’m in a tripod to get 6-10 down in a rotation lol

@@furyan3136 your lucky you taxied that gold Mela, mine is one of my favorite trophies and the mela female let me finish my mela flee state multi mount. Like you I saved every big rack red deer when I started the game I didn’t know anything about fur variations, diamonds or great ones.. I thought the best I can get was mythical 😂 needless to say now I have way to many silver and gold red deers occupying a lodge because it’s too much of a hassle to delete

@@G_1ZSLL oh I know, I have roughly 26-28 solo fallow and most of them grouped up in 3 different locations

When I was grinding Red Deer I also shot at 5 and then 4 would respawn but I don't recommend it because it's a lot of work to get most of them to 4 and I have a few smaller ones. From this grind I collected about 17 diamonds and 2 G1 (RIP the second one is gold)

@ 4 is ideal but it can get finicky lowering them that low so I stop at a lower 5 for red deer. Sorry to hear about your gold G1. But it’s still a great trophy regardless

Stenburg Bow for Red deer (mission related weapon) 10mm Davini handgun cause I like how it Looks. Yes I’m having trouble killing red deer with these three but great things come to those who go insane on a great one grind

@ on my Red Deer great one grinds I used either the .300 canning or the Arzyna .300 (for non trophies) for trophies I used either the Olson model 23 .308, Zara-10 .308 or the .303 FL Sporter (from te Awaroa missions) other great options are Eckers .30-06, M1 Iwaniac, and the Malmer 7mm. For solo foxes I really like the .243 Cuomo(I think it feels stronger than the .243 ranger) or I really like the .223 Docent. I really like the sternberg bow but honestly I wouldn’t use any of these guns for a great one grind it’s hard to put a couple down at each zone. @@DannyFhanum i just posted a video last week about the best way to get cash and xp. Hop on emerald coast, it has a lot of animals that you get paid a lot of money for. Crocs, banteng, red deer, fallow.. really every animal on that map but hog deer. Btw all shot guns work I just prefer the cacciatore shotgun because the round capacity, it’s been awhile but i think you have to unlock it by leveling up the shotgun

@@karlkarnage what birds though? I’m not sure if turkeys do, and only roosting bird I know is chickens lol. But if they did add a mechanic like that. It would be possible for primate species, mountain lion, and puma.. potentially jaguar if they do an Amazon map

My first G1 was on The Awaroa and it was a Red Deer with a score of about 260. Unfortunately I got the second one wrong with the setting at 300m and it is gold with a score of about 259.

@G_1ZSLL that’s rough, I got both my red deer great ones from emerald coast. I like the lakes better first one scored 275.1 and the second scored 264.4.

I definitely agree with the pheasants! I’m not too sure about the money grind, because I have only played for a year but I make decent money. I just released a video for that the other day I got close to 50k on 40 animals which only took an hour to record. How was it in the beginning?

@@RavenNezarec I like gun leveling, you can see the count of animals per weapon inside your lodge. But as much as I’d hate to disagree with you I think when game companies do season passes they spend more time and effort on that instead of improving the game (example COD, Fortnite, siege, etc..) I prefer they improve the many issues with the game before they attempt that. But I respect your opinion and think it would be a cool added aspect after they fix major issues. Decaying harvest is a cool idea and goes along with using a downed animal as bait for predator animals.

@@Th3Skipp3r Do you have a video about that animal count mechanic? I’ve tried seeing how many animals I’ve killed before a diamond but the leaderboards/progression never loads on console. The more decayed an animal the more predators it attracts like hyenas/lions/different bird types.

@@AndiKoehn yeah absolutely, the 7mm magnum is a great gun that covers a lot of different class animals(4-9) only downfall is that it is a single shot. But in all honesty it helps you my making sure your aim is accurate. Another great base game weapon would be the Sunberg 454 which should be free to all players, it is a pistol and you will have to unlock the scope but the gun is a powerhouse that covers animal classes 4-9 as well it has 5 round capacity only downfall is you have to get a lot closer but well worth it. Hope this helps, there really aren’t many base game weapons that are truly great. I like the .223 Docent for class animals 2-4 in my opinion it’s the best 2-4 weapon and it’s a non DLC gun as well.

In my opinion I agree with everything you’ve said .. you just saints hell of a lot better than I could have. But.. I think blue ( ) brackets in the sky would be hard to see as well maybe a neon color or black so the contrast stands out better. Man, I love your enthusiasm and accuracy of descriptions. I hope someone from EW reads your comment and realizes.. damn we fucked up and this guy is correct. Especially with the zeroing and bullet drop.

@@soupopital to think of it, I don’t think there is one waterfall in theHunter. That would be an amazing thing to include. But I am a little hesitant on more flowing water lol that just means more drink zones to find haha but I do like the idea! Thanks for commenting
