About us
We are John and Jill, an ageing couple from Epsom who are still young(ish) at heart.
Our first cruise was a Seacation on Regal Princess in August 2021.
We put together our first Vlog for our cruise to Norway and Denmark in August/September 2022, and then intended to work backwards over the previous two cruises - two years later that’s still on the “to do” list. We were inspired to do so by watching the wonderful efforts of @cruisemonkeys and others. Our ongoing resolution is to try and take more video on our cruises and show more of the ships we sail in and show more of the food we eat.

We have M410 booked for a Norway fjords cruise, do you think the seawalk blocks out the view? Wondering if we should switch to M408 as yours didn't look as covered as M410.
@@schlogee we’ve recently done a fjords cruise in M423 and found that the sea walk significantly affected our view of the high sides of the fjords in a forward direction, so yes, I think you’d be better off in M408.
Hello again sorry for yet another question. My partner loves a Lager & Black. Do you know if you can get Blackcurrant cordial on board?
I’m afraid I don’t know. I can’t say I’ve ever seen it, but then again I haven’t been looking. If they have it anywhere I think the Seaview Narrows would be your best bet. Why not ask on one of the Facebook forums.

Hello great video. I see that you walked through the Gym to get to the Wake View bar. Does this save you going up the stairs and then back down again?
The Wake View bar is actually on deck 16, so the quickest way to it from the pool area is through the buffet. On the video I came out of the gym on the deck above the bar and then walked down the staircase.
Pretty wonderful ship!! Plenty of areas to explore and take in all that the cruise has to offer!!

@@alanwilding1674 Glad to answer any questions. You can take drinks into the theatre. The theatre is accessible from decks 6 and 7. There are no close bars on deck 7, but on deck 6 Take Five and Good Spirits At Sea are both close, Good Spirits At Sea is a cocktail bar, whilst Take Five has cocktails and a wide range of spirits.
We got on Sky when you got off, we were amazed at the amount of sunbeds they had put out but of course they were catering for a ship load of Brits who had endured our rubbish summer this year. We found the outside areas on deck 7 quieter. Been on Sky a few times but this was the first time we have seen so many sunbeds put out and so close together. Think you still had to get up very early to secure one. Our cruise was a hot and sunny one.

Hi we have booked next door M410 for canaries next march , did the seawalk block out alot of sun ? Im presuming sunrise and sunset will be fine and only blocks out sun middle of day , thanks for sharing video its a really nice state room x
The biggest factor that determines whether the balcony is in shade is the superstructure of the ship, if the sun is on the other side of the ship to you, then all balconies on your side of the ship will be in shade regardless of the time of day and the sea walk will make no difference. If the sun is on your side of the ship, in March the sun won’t be very high in the sky (although it’ll get higher in the sky the further south you go) and again the sea walk probably won’t make much difference.
Can I ask what time the theatre starts?
It can vary from cruise to cruise, but generally speaking there are two 45 minute performances an evening starting at 8pm and 10pm
We were really not looking forward to this port but found Soulac to be a lovely place - you had better weather than we did in on our cruise the week before. Great video 😀
