    Hi! That's me again! I have a general question . Did you ever accidently removed the rollover fuel valve on the gas tank ? Mine popped out last time and I have yet found a way to put it back !! I bought a new grommet but I can't snap the valve into it to be tight in the tank... So I pressed as hard as I could and put some gaff tape around to "seal" it.

    • @girlintheblueridge6529

      @DrumPeearl I wanted to remove that grommet on top and clean but could not get it out. I would heat just the grommet separately with a blow dryer or heat gun. And then use a small flat blade or phillips screwdriver to gradually work it in. Then push in the plastic piece once grommet is in. Will help to lubricate the plastic piece with silicone grease or wd40. That hose on top is just to run gasoline fumes back to the carb. There is no rollover filter attached there like you see on weedeaters. Here's my vid on the gas tank. ruclips.net/video/d6zjnP9u39Y/видео.htmlsi=213KHR9CL5LUfr7O My fuel filter is on the line coming out the bottom of the tank. Hope this helps. Let me know.

    Okay so I'm learning all of this tonight 😂 there is actually a part that charges the battery on the mower! I got the exact same mower and engine. I guess I'll have to check it out and try to see if I can fix the issue or if it needs a jew alternator or something! That's weird the wire necessary to charge the battery wasn't connected on yours. Any idea why?

      @girlintheblueridge6529 26 дней назад

      @@DrumPeearl Hi Boch, yes, the PTO charges the battery as long as the internals are working. I got the mower used and am not sure how that wire got disconnected. Someone rewired everything to remove all the safety switches.... which I really like, but I think maybe when they did that they cut that wire not knowing what it did. I never could find the mate to it.

      @DrumPeearl Hi Boch, Yes, with ur meter set to read 50v or more, attach your positive and negative leads to the out two pins. The middle pin is ground. It does not matter which is which because AC current is alternating. Just use the outer pins, far left and far right. Not the middle one. Does that help?

    • @girlintheblueridge6529
      @girlintheblueridge6529 28 дней назад

      @marcnissen578 Hi Marc, yes, I did a timesert on a 1994 deville ...back around 2005 for my brother's cadillac. I tried to refuse this car for that very reason. But I needed a car so bad and I accepted it knowing that. I've been fortunate. I think it's had a slight headgasket leak lately but I put a tube of alumaseal in it several different times when it started missing about 4 or 5 yrs ago and so far okay. It slowly took away the miss. They started making the headbolts longer in 2000 which helped. But they should have made the bolts larger too. My car is an 2003 with over 160k miles so I've evaded the issue so far. Got the car at 80k miles. Drove the car thru the blue ridge mountains several times last year to go to Iowa and it made it. So the car has well served me thus far. I have seen on amazon some testimonies that steel seal fixed a few devilles for at least a yr and running. Also have seen that thermaweld has fixed some deville for a yr or so. Much much better to do the physical repair but sometimes the resources for that aren't available. I'm 64 and I'm not wanting to do another head gasket. If it runs to 200k I will be happy. I did, at the suggestion of my brother, put in an aftermarket temp guage and that has served me well also. The car's original temp guage doesn't warn you soon enough if there is a problem. The aftermarket guage has helped me keep a close eye on the true temp of the engine.

But I've been using the silicone grease for years on electrical items and it's worked very well. I bought a large can of it years ago. Much cheaper in long run than always buying a small tube of dielectric grease.

      We have done well with our Kohler Engine Cub Cadet. Cub Cadet are all around here; many with hundreds and hundreds of hours. How could they be that bad if they run hundreds of hours. What is the specific problem(s) you see? If a guy buys a $4,000 unit and mows 400 hours with it that is $10/hour and that sound like a good deal. There are a lot of great Kubota around here but the are $13,000 and up. Meaning wouldn't live long enough to get our money out of a Kubota

      @whatsup3270 Hi WhatsUp, I bought mine 2 years ago with 300 hrs on it. It fit my budget. It just hit 400 hours this week. Hoping it runs to at least 600 hours. Gonna keep oil changed and put some additives in to slow wear. I changed the hydraulic fluid out on it when I first got it. It was milky, so I'm glad I did that. Seems to be running good. I would advise anyone with this mower to do that at the 200-300 hr mark. Thanks for watching.

    Not all mowers are created equal and be careful not to stress that belt out of alignment! My Husqvarna won't do that but we have adjusting bars. What I did once on a John Deere is I went to larger tires with great success. Just stand back and look at your tire spacing and do some research online for tire sizes and even possibly going to the next larger wheel if need be.

      Hi Andy, thx for watching another of my vids! It's been over a year now and my brakes are still working very good. I'm so glad I repaired them. I've used them a LOT! Glad you liked. Happy repairs!

    Too bad the rain water is now filled with chemicals because of the chemtrails and cloud seeding. Great video though. God bless.

    I don't have an impact. Any advise? Pliers keep slipping, breaker does nothing...

      Try this: Be sure and use pb blaster and or transmission oil on the nut overnight... then try some heat from a small torch (can find small cigarette lighter torches at Dollar General) on the nut. Try to heat just the nut. Can heat the nut both before and after you oil it. Then hammer it . Can hammer both before and after letting it set over night. And let set over night. Sometimes vibration from hammer can help. Then on a nice warm day when sun is out try following. . You may end up destroying the fan but you can buy a new fan. Put the vise grip as tight as you can on a fan blade from underneath. Spin plade in direction u will be turning nut until vise grips interfere with turning and blade stops. Then Look and see if vice grips are positioned so they are secured as a good stop. May need to adjust their angle depending on where they hit . Then using 6pt socket on nut, and small breaker bar, repeatedly lightly tap the breaker bar in direction you are trying to turn nut... Need to tap breaker bar or wrench just an inch or so from socket. It does not help to tap far up on handle where you normally grip. Put pressure on end of wrench with your hand, holding wrench tight in direction it needs to go and tap gently down lower on wrench close to socket. Many small taps can sometimes release a tight bolt like this. Let me know. There are also battery powered drills that are impacts that may work. Let me know if you get it.

      Whoops. My bad I didnt look close and thot u were removing belt by fan. On pto nut removal, u can use some of the same techniques I just listed, but I think you need to lock the pto with a screw driver to keep it from spinning. I cant remember for sure, but u may be able to keep bracket on pto and use it as a stop. The small tapping of the wrench that i described earlier is probably gonna do most good. Does that help at all? Let me know.

    Make sure you put some rubber or plastic around the cord in the outside wall so it doesnt rub through the insulation on the sharp metal edge

    Last and i'll stop buggin ya, since you had all the pulleys, spindles and belts off, it would have been nice time to hit some rust with the grinder, prime and paint it. These and John Deere decks are made to rust. God Bless, keep up the great work and keep them wrenches turning.
