Autistic Five Year Old Using a GoPro Camera (A Child's Point of View)
Welcome to Across the Spectrum. We have been filming 9 kids from Arizona and Massachusetts. We started following them shortly after diagnoses and will be following them up through adulthood.
We have filmed the kids for 10 years now and every time we come film them, the kids are drawn to the cameras. We try to give them a GoPro so we can see their point of view. The kids are now teenagers so we will start to get videos of things they like.
This video is my son Henry at 5 years old. We were at his center, getting an update on his goals. I would film his updates a few times a year. I gave him the GoPro so we could see his school through his eyes.
The world is a wonderful place through the eyes...

My son is 7
I hope this helps. A family friend & my Mom's Chiropractor for over 30 years has a Son named Harry. Harry was born Autistic, you'll have to forgive me I don't know what kind of Autism it is, but he was the kind that would lose it completely over high pitched noises like sirens. The Chiropractor read in an article about researchers who used a hyperbaric chamber to treat Autism & it works. The Chiropractor went & bought the chamber for use in his office & immediately began using it on his Autistic Son. Harry graduates High School very soon & has multiple Colleges & Universities fighting over him because he is going into Nuclear Engineering. Today Harry shows only 1 behavior leftover from his Autism, it takes him hours to simply eat. Other than that he is symptom free.
That's good congrats🎉
Like if you don't know what is wrong with him👇
Yaaaaaaaaaaay! My eyes leak. So awesome. 💗
Your son does horse therapy I think that that is so sweet I personally love horses hope it helps and he loves it 😊😊
Well, sadly, a good amount of childhood deaths are due to drowning, autistic or not. I'm autistic, and I've grown up with pools in my backyards my whole life. My mom made me take swim lessons when I was little. I was also verbally delayed, so I guess those helped should I fall in the pool but can't scream for help, I can help myself.
Cute❤❤
Your channel came up..what a smart young man!
@@WickedlyMe328 thank you so much for watching. He is❤️
This is the only time I really appreciate technology for all the benefits in healthcare. ❤
Your doing great. You are an amazing mother.
@@user_95871 thank you❤️
i have a 3 year old nonverbal son and i really would love to know what it is he is using? What is the tablet or app called. please let me kno!! Thank u
Coughdrop is the app. The school district might provide it once a child starts school
It’s called an acc device if your child goes to school and is has an IEP, you can tell the coordinator or whoever is in charge that you want an ACC device for him
@@Sandra-uo8ik i will thank u so much!
@@amandaszewczyk2036 he uses an IPad with the Touch Chat app. We got it from the Arizona department of disabilities. But if you ask your child’s school or speech therapist they will probably be able to help you get one.
Those talkers are the best thing anyone ever invented. My son is 10, and he doesn't use his talker that much anymore, but it really helped when he couldn't get the words out before! Now he just plays on it 😅
@@mermaid717 they are amazing! So thankful for technology!!!
That boy working them buttons gonna be the world's fastest at the fast food machine.
❤
What communication app/device do you use
@@brybry_. He uses the Touch Chat App on an IPad mini.
@ thank you 🙏 you’re doing great btw:)
Excelente!
Thank you so much!
As an Equestrian myself I just wanna say your son did so good. Reins are the hardest part in tacking a horse and he did so awesome seeing him learn this just made my day I’m so happy and proud of him 😁😁
Thank you so much. He has worked so hard on his fine motor. This day was last February, the video I just posted today, 5 things I have learned about autism, we filmed at horse therapy, he has come so far even in 9months!
@@AcrossTheSpectrumTheDoc aw I'm so happy for u and your son❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
His app’s voice is Josh from Acapela Group, right? This isn’t a surprise for me. Generally, Josh is the 1st choice for nonverbal child boys. Actually, I’m not a nonverbal. But, I’m using AAC sometimes. Because, I feel good with AAC sometimes. I’m a teenager boy who is 15 years-old. But, Even I’m a boy, My voice is Ella from Acapela Group.
That's got to feel so amazing seeing him succeed like that, and getting to watch his hard work pay off ! Congratulations, Mom. ❤🎉🎉🎉❤
Hey there! I hope you're doing well!I wanted to reach out because there's a brand collaboration opportunity I think you'd be perfect for! However, I couldn't find your email anywhere. Could you let me know the best way to contact you? Looking forward to hearing from you! ✨

My autistic husband gets so calm after he rides ❤
So good to see this! Horses are great therapy for everyone but I think especially for the neurodivergent. My pony was a quiet refuge from the stress of every day socializing with humans, even the ones I loved. I’ll never forget him.
❤😊❤😊
Good for him❤ being around horses can be so therapeutic. I miss having a horse so much'but not where i live.❤
