NOBODY sings or performs Googoosh's songs like she does, and I mean NO ONE! For 21 years when she was in Iran and living in silence, LA singers sang and re-recorded her old songs and they all were awful. NOW Googoosh has shown them who's the true artist. BRAVO!

Well, after Googoosh comeback tour ended she was stranded in LA (her husband was ordered back to Iran) and she decided to stay in the States. She had signed an awful contract and was being hated on by LA-Iranians. Mehrdad got her out of the messy contract, wrote her new songs, etc. Of course, he also helped himself a lot! ;)

in berlin, everyone went out of the music hall. so when he came, suddenly the stairs were full of people. HAHA

I'm no fan of Mehrdad's singing, however, he stepped up and helped Googoosh when all of the LA Iranians music scene turned on her and basically slandered her. I think that's why she's loyal to him. He really hepled Googoosh (and himself of course ;)
