Yes it is an advantage to have a neutral American accent, which is what I have naturally. Pero sa totoo lang, as a voice actor, most of the jobs I've gotten were in Taglish or completely nose bleed levels of Filipino for me! 😁 For those projects, I have to be coached by my husband since I mispronounce so many Filipino words! 😅 Sometimes I don't even fully understand my Tagalog/Filipino scripts so Luis has to translate them for me to understand, so that I can deliver the script the way the client wants it. Bottom line is, the more languages/dialects/accents you know, the more opportunities will be available. 😊
