A Not so Short Short About Superhero Shorts
👍
He looks like the seventies Shogun robots Daimos and Brave Raideen.
I was too poor in the Eighties to get a Voltron, but I got the Trendmasters version made in the Nineties that came with the Blazing Sword. Still no missiles, though.
What if the reason is that with all the vehicles becoming a big robot, maybe it's how long the fuel will last considering all the vehicles combine so the "limit" of 5 minutes it the fuel running out but that's just a theory
The theories don't explain why the time-limit was dropped later in the series. In truth, it's just a failure in writing.
Damn that's pretty metal.
I love how everyone is just so *happy* as they go about their work. <3
I came very close to buying a Space Lego set last night that was on sale at the grocery store last night. It looked really cool, but I'm not getting sucked down that rabbit hole!
The pointed nose-cone of the Voyager was for that Concorde feeling during the landing… At least that is how I did it 😊
Wait, what? They seriously didn’t include the sword at first? Hey at least you got lead paint. ( at least that was the rumor at the time, YMMV)
That's actually pretty good!
Michael French you were so young back in 2014!
My friend had one. He had to keep it in the basement on a pingpong table.
Saw it on the shelves and came to the realization that not all that is imported from Japan is good. And that's coming from a Micronauts fan.
You can use warm water to soften the plastic enough to slide in the weapons. If you don’t customize and your scared to mess up your figs look up boiling and popping and it might reassure you
WAY too important a SF vehicle to be locked behind a legal battle. On a side note, Hasbro listed upcoming cross-overs and Macross was one of them.
Knowing about Macross first I didn't grow up with Transformers because weird childhood I mean I did watch Armada that was my introduction but at the same time I played Robotech battlecry and then got into Macross I wish I had my own Valkyrie I wish I could fly and transform that shit will be the coolest science fiction vehicle ever to ever own I mean yeah the United States Department of Defense would definitely be up my ass and probably confiscate the thing and send it to Area 51 but like holy shit would be a sweet ride up until then
Why does this look like that one Army RUclipsr with anxiety
What Army RUclipsr?
@@RetroBlastingSHORTS I think it's mandatoryfunday
The figure is based off of Tony Roberts of Analog Toys.
I’m not a Cheers expert, but wasn’t that a Cliff Clavin voice? lol either way 😀😁🤣
It’s like they were thinking about Undiscovered Country and thinking that Klingon language bit was something they wanted in their movie.
I remember my Boba Fett had that plastic smell. I still remember that smell
1:21 who is the "puny god?" I recognize the rest. I have a guess but could be wrong.
Q from Star Trek TNG
@WyldstaarStudios that's what I thought. Thanks!
That lines from the first avengers when Loki is ranting to Tony that he's a god among mortals. Then Hulk jumps in and starts smashing him. Afterward he says the "puny god" line.
A wey to make this toy come back is just make as a alternate universe voltron
Lmbo!! Someone said awesome!!
I've always appreciated how you handle Voltron - aware of flaws & shortcomings but it's never dulled your love for it & a respect for the phenomenon it was...
I remember Voltron II being on the shelves for a very long time in my area. No kids wanted them, even at clearance prices. Adult collectors twenty plus years later have different priorities, of course.
I only had Voltron 1 as a kid though.
@@michaelbenjmitchell1 Be thankful you weren't one of the kids who wound up with Voltron II because someone was looking for a cheap option for a birthday/Christmas present, and found Voltron II on clearance.
Maybe his American accent would give him away? LOL!
A spy working for the OSS, would know the language and would speak with a proper accent...
I assumed his accent would give him away
Working for OSS, as a spy, they'd make sure he knew the language and could pull off the accent.
Was I disturbed when the Black CIA agent called the White agent a “cracker”? This film was off on so many things. Happy New Year to you and yours.
it’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie, but maybe he didn’t want them to recognize that his voice was different than the superior officer.
Also my husband speaks fluent Zulu,Dutch Afrikaan,German and Japanese so we both feel Disney and it’s infinite idiocy is ruining the mystic of Docter Jones!
watching Young Indian Jones especially the ghost train episode where he tells Selous and British Genneral he can speak German makes me think that theirs fools running the asylum! i love Young Indy and my husband being South African and going on his great adventure back to South Africa to serve in their military i know he loves that series!
Yesssss exactly
I remember when Airwolf and Battlestar Galactica ditched their star characters/actors. Both shows met quick ends because of that.
While the details for Airwolf and Galactica 1980 were a bit different, in the end the problems that ruined them both boil down to money. I don't know if Airwolf could have been saved at all due to Jan Michael Vincent's alcoholism, but the studio used it as an excuse to recast and switch to only using stock footage. The original BSG was cancelled due to how expensive it was, rather than poor ratings, and Galactica 1980 with the new cast was made cheaply from the start.
@@WyldstaarStudios kinda felt like Airwolf ran its course. Only so many times you can see the same California valley getting blown up.
@@machineman6498 Perhaps, but kids don't really mind repetition. The A-Team was essentially the same series of plot points every week, and it ran for five seasons.
If memory serves, Bo & Luke were in a contract dispute over likeness rights, as they were getting next to nothing from all the action figures, lunch boxes, Halloween costumes, etc. featuring their faces. This is why Mego bothered with new head sculpts at all.
They shipped me Zukus instead. Was pissed
I never had Star Wars toys as a kid. I had a couple of Gobots, He-Man, and Gi joe. Good Ole 80's.
Wow damn sho is!!! I love and miss the 80’s. All because of the toys!!
Lmbo 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I had the car and robocop figure!! Fanfreakintastic!!
Arcee is well adjusted and a credit to her race.
I love this channel lol!!
Incredible
As a young kid at the time, for a split second I thought he was Luciano Pavarotti. Actor “emptying out” before an execution is some next level acting. Like the Die Hard window drop.
You had to grow up w/these to fully understand & how magical they were to a kid…transformers as a kid was the ultimate toy….it was like having a valuable treasure in your hands every time you played w/them is how I would describe it!
I did grow up with these toys
"After that the only thing there really is left to do is call up a friend and say 'I've just sh t my pants ...and I'm coming over!'" -Margaret Cho
I had a very good childhood!!!
A chum of mine had the flag, it was cheaply made and not very playable.
Aw, come on, Retroblasting fans! Get over here & subscribe! Always a good time when RB uploads a highlight short!
I'm here! Glad Sallah wasn't killed off!
u didn't have to do the dinobots dirty like that 😭
I checked with them, they're ok with it.
When I got home from school I could tell weather vehicle or lion voltron was on that day by if anyone was out playing on my street .
(sings) Where have all the Daryls gone? Long time passing. Where have all the Daryls gone? And. Where's. John Oates?
I love TMNT Mutant Mayhem and I can’t wait for the sequel with Shredder.
