You ask a good story question Yes, in a situation like that, they would have to and hopefully come back as soon as safeas possible to bury her decently. In a fast movie timeline they have to be judicious with time. But even in books, where there is plenty of time. I have seen where they don't consider it either.

The little kid has a disease that requires air filter but soon he runs out so dad has to get more at the city hospital below 8000 feet where monsters roam. Monsters are like 20 tons and anamatronic dogs basically. Big tails and can’t be killed with bullets. At the end a scientist finds out how to kill them with a special powdery dust on the tip of the bullet and it sends them back to the world they came from. At the end of the movie there are asteroids coming toward earth which might indicate another movie😅
