Scoping out bike terrain building opportunities
Doesn’t work with a machine that doesn’t let you touch the track with the bucket.
thanks just got a new E26 100 hours ago and had a track come off I still had help come over got it on for the most part but had to use the bucket to get it to pop back on the video was a big help thank you so much
My track just came out inside a hole will try to fix it after this video . Fingers crossed crosses!!
Thanks for the video! One of my greatest fears as a new excavator owner. I now feel I can easily get it back on by myself.
"Put the bike chain back on the sprocket." Great job! Improvise, adapt and overcome!
You did a great job with the video. Nice clear instructions. Very well explained. Don't pay attention to the idiot Where is his basement professor professional video. I'm an Equipment owner operator and you did a great job.
As a one man show You did excellent..👍😊 I would seriously think about the final drive sprocket teeth are showing excessive wear.
Owe you a beer, saved me a phone call to the boss man
The same way you put the track back on with a large excavator. Just watch how Tony Beets does it. Bucket to the side and raise the the drive side off the ground.

Not exactly what I searched for on RUclips, but pretty pretty cool technique. Too bad your moron in the shop didn’t watch and learn, nevertheless subscribe
Do you know these size fields are for how many gallons a day or for building of how many people ?
I don’t recall off the top of my head.
Only strait forward vid. My track came off alone. Same logic. My rippa 2023 didn’t have enough power to do this in the woods. I nursed it back 1/4 mile to try to do this again in a safe environment. I have no tools.
Dang, how did it turn out in the end? Were you successful?
Always good to make a 7 min video when it could just be 2 at most. Not sure why we needed to know what job you were working on etc.
Sure. I’m an excavator not a professional video editor obviously. There’s the reason I’m digging holes and not getting paid in Hollywood. 😂
I thought the length was fine. And good camera work, frankly ~
Allways negative people nagging from their couch. I thought it was a perfect length and very clear explanation. Thanks a lot and please keep making movies. Subscribed and greetings from Poland
Fully agree , get to the point …
Nice one mate. Got the track back on without having to tell the boss 👍👍
Nice one!
Ur undercarriage is rough, the drive sprocket is like knife blades….
Yep. Good call. I replaced the drive sprockets.
Was going to say the same. Glad to hear he changed them out.
It's a good technique but remember guys it's one off or you are somewhere in the desert you do that, doing this can cause the rubber track to rip because of stretch force
Agreed. Better to release the track tension if you came prepared with tools like a responsible operator should. Do as I say not as I do kind a thing.
What about if the track goes out to the other side
Soon the cab and try it and let us know if you were able to manage it. Otherwise we’ll have to wait until it happens to me and I can make another vid.
Never to old to learn something. Good job. Thanks from. Sc
Thank you for sharing, you got my sub.
Sweet!! 🎉
Massive job. Great work.
Thanks!
How much does blasting for tank cost?
I had to do the same by myself and the only thing I did differently was when I got the track sitting as close to the underside rollers I lowered the entire machine onto the track and drove backwards while turning the machine and track against the front main roller. It makes a hell of a bang so now I do the same but I remove the grease tensioner before tracking against the track. Takes me now 10 minutes to get it on before adjusting the track.
Nice!
Time for a tractor with a snowblower lol
What's going on here
Thank You Im off to retrack my Kabota 33! Great value!
Great to hear!
This looks like the equivalent of “hold my beer and watch this” snow plowing.
That's a 300.00 push all day long....😁👍
Are you still doing this road? Did you find a better solution? That is a very difficult road for light duty pickups especially with wet snow. Snow tracks might give you enough traction to plow in 4 low but they are expensive and have to be taken off to drive over 35mph. If you put some 35's with chains on one of your trucks and add enough weight you might be able to drive to the top first and plow down which is really how it should be done. Plowing uphill is very hard on equipment.
Are these guys new?? Good grief
Chain all 4.
Thanks for posting the video, a lot of guys on here are arm chair warriors and don’t have balls to put there own videos up. Keep the videos coming.
Nice job ! But how that truck jumped been so tight ?
Good question!
My bucket couldn’t reach but a 2x6 worked to bridge the gap
Great innovation
Been working excavators 40 years. Usually just man handle and pry bar and another person on controls. Oh and a lot of cursing. When by yourself, as I was other day, and track came of G50 JD used this method and took a whopping 4 minutes. Pissed I never did it ages ago . Makes perfect sense and just never thought of it- to much dust in the brain I guess . So good one ☝️ CJ with Mountain-Scapes
WhoDoggie! Well, it sounds like you got the job done plenty of times even with the cussin’ and I’m glad you got the upgraded method now. God bless RUclips putting all our good ideas out there for sharing. I saw a bumper sticker today that said “the internet can fix my bike”. Had to think about that for a minute. Dust in my brain too! Lol. Truth be told, I’ve done it the hard way too many times to count as well.
Just used this video to fix my Yanmar ViO 17s track. Thank you so much.
Awesome! I’m so glad you found it useful!
Tried today. But busted the track. Ordered metal ones.
Ah bummer. Sorry to hear it. Hopefully your metal ones perform better for you.
Well as a Veteran Snow plow guy. You guys Suck! Blame it on learning curve or whatever you want. This guy has NO common sense… that and it’s a dodge 🤮🤮 $money pit! Buy a Ford next time…
Subscriber #360 👍🏻 I’ll remember this if it ever happens to my new KX080-delivered 6 was ago!
Thank you for the comment. It’s bound to happen at some point. It’s part of ownership with these beauties.
Most people today would call it quits for the day. You just showed American ingenuity to get the job done! This may seem simple but in a small way it shows we are competing globally. Good job Jesse!
Ah, thanks.
I wish that was my commute
Yeah, man!
❤️ p̲r̲o̲m̲o̲s̲m̲
Works because you have big bucket!! 👍😂
Indeed. I believe I can do it with a regular sized bucket as well. I’ll try next time time I throw a track with a regular bucket.
How many hours on the Kubota kx 040
Roughly 1900 hrs. Why do you ask?
@@HighPerformanceEarthworks just bought a new Kubota Kx 040 last year .
We, we run cat and bobcat and kubota. Gotta say I love the kubota machines most. But I mostly stick with cat simply due to the service superiority.
Get a set of real snow tires and learn how to shave off layers of snow
That driveway needs a bobcat
Man that is one gnarly driveway!!! It appears that it's all uphill. Too bad there wasn't someone that was able to come downhill and break trail. You guys work well together for sure.....Stay safe....
Hey thanks for the encouraging words, Kerry. You’re a beacon of light in the dark. One positive comment out of 100. I really appreciate it.
Get a Tundra.
Why doesn't he put the blade all the way down?
1:20; What an idiot!
