Listening to this tonight has opened my heart, my mind and my life, up to learn a tremendous amount of lessons. He, Donny ,is a normal human man. He is human, he is a son, father, brother, entertainer, and for me he is an incredible teacher. He teaches by, word, by song, by love. I am greatful to him for being such a wonderful human being. Donny I love ya and have been a big admirer of yours but I do have to say that I never adored you even when my bedroom walls was plastered with your posters. Looking back as a 13 year old and now as a60 year old grandma it was probably not right to have done that . That was a type of adoration. Donny my dear adoration is the lords territory. Not yours mine or anything on earth. If I say I was a fan that might be somewhat better but that’s saying in reality that I’m fanatical. I’m not fanatical about anyone or anything. I love you enough that if someone had offered you a beer I would have slapped that brew right out of your hand. Donny you are a simple innocent soul. I’ve lived long enough to know that simple souls who have been through the mill can become addicted. You are too good of a man to be subjected to that especially if you were young and not fully mature. I know. I’m a performer also I know what the world has to offer and not all of it is good.
