The 1976 Yorkshire Three Peaks Fell Race - YTV's Roger Greenwood Film
A 1976 New Years Day resolution really tests this TV Journalist in a feat of stamina he finds is almost beyond his capabilities.
The race today is a somewhat tamer version than back in the 70's when there were far fewer paved sections. Follow his minimal training and trails on the day. Followed at times with close accompaniment by a Helicopter.

Thanks Rob! I saw this in Boulder that autumn & still have my sleeveless tee😊
I have recorded Jaws 2 The Novel. I am not a professional but did my best. The book itself is at least as good if not better than the first and definetely better than the film Jaws 2. ruclips.net/video/r6giT9sP6NA/видео.htmlsi=UXjkIlwUb3vz_rIr
I enjoyed that , makes me wish i could play the Euph again . Wonderful to see a good crowd listening and enjoying it .....makes all the difference .
Glad you enjoyed it
Merry Christmas everyone. Tks to the Pipe Band. Looks like a good turn out.

Martin Barre - ☝️👌👍👏🏅🥇🎖
they need hats
This is not from Chile 1996, it’s from São Paulo, Brazil 2000.
Complimentissimi ❤
It's great to see Martin Barre with his own group ..!
I was at this concert in row seven with my friends Glenn and Larry. This was part of Bill Graham's Fillmore in the Berkshires series that started the year before in 1969. That concert on 08/12/69(just three days before Woodstock which Bill Graham was an advisor to the promoters) featured B.B.King opening up, The Who on second and The Jefferson Airplane as headliners. Back to this show the first in 1970(07/07/70) It's A Beautiful Day(a band from San Francisco - "White Bird") opened up the concert with Jethro Tull on second, Fantastic Set!!! Headlining was The Who, they performed the rock opera "Tommy" in it's entirety. The Shed at Tanglewood is a semi - open aired amphitheatre that holds 5000, and then there's the lawn which never held more than 10,000 in the history of Tanglewood since opening in 1920 and is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. On this day 23,456 people combined between The Shed and the Lawn to set the record of most attendees at a single event at Tanglewood and that is what led to concerts being stopped for several years. But Bill Graham had two more shows scheduled, on 07/21/70 Chicago headlined this concert with John B. Sebastian opening up, but this was not what Bill Graham had in mind for this date. Before introducing The Who at this show with Jethro Tull he announced the following for an upcoming concert two weeks later; "although all the contracts are not completely signed, in two weeks on 07/21/70 we hope to bring you an incredible twin - bill with Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs and Englishmen Band(an all - star band headed by Leon Russell) to open up, and the Headliner Jimi Hendrix, it never happen due to contract problems on both ends with both Cocker and Hendrix(that would of been one hell of a concert) But it didn't and Bill Graham managed to get Chicago and John B. Sebastian to perform at this concert instead. The final concert of this Fillmore in the Berkshires series was a big one indeed. On 08/18/70 Bill Graham present this one last show with, "The Voices of East Harlem" an Acapella singing group opening up, Jazz Trumpet Legend Miles Davis performed second(Miles Davis had just released his landmark album "Bitches Brew" that month in March of 1970) and finally the last band to ever perform at Tanglewood promoted by Bill Graham was, Santana! They performed their new second album, "Abraxas" in it's entirety along with songs from their first album("Abraxas" was released a month later in September 1970) That was an incredible summer of music Bill Graham brought to the Berkshires Mountains in Lenox, Massachusetts(Western Massachusetts) We saw all four of these shows from the '69 show to this last one in '70, yeah those were the days! 🎸🎤🎸🥁🎹🎻🎺🎷🪘🪗🎶🎶🎶🎶👍.....On July 13, 1971 Tanglewood presented the first in a series of Contemporary Artist Concerts(the first since 1968) Headlining was Sly and the Family Stone, this was an DISASTROUS SHOW TO SAY THE LEAST!!! This was not the Sly Stone of Woodstock Fame, not even close. He did a 45 MINUTE SHOW AND LEFT. Needless to say the 20,000 fans were not happy and things changed in this Contemporary Artist Series by Tanglewood. Prior to this and the Bill Graham's Fillmore shows, in 1968 Tanglewood started the original Contemporary Artist Series with some heavy hitters, Ray Charles, Janis Joplin, Iron Butterfly, Ravi Shankar(Legendary Sitarist)and at the time a kinda new singer/songwriter in a new country genre "Outlaw", Willie Nelson. Note: on August 12, 2003 Jethro Tull returned to Tanglewood performing with the string section of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Jethro Tull weren't the only alumni from the Bill Graham days to return. Pete Townsend returned as a solo artist on September 2, 2017(this was Townsend's third trip to The Shed at Tanglewood '69 & '70) This show was one of only five shows Townsend performed "Quadrophina" in the U.S. that year backed not only with his touring band, but with the Boston Pops Orchestra. Roger Daltrey also performed solo shows at Tanglewood, on June 15, 2018, his solo tour featured Daltrey's "Tommy" revisited tour. And again for a fourth and last? appearance at Tanglewood on his retirement? tour this year on June 22, 2024. There has been so many concerts at Tanglewood in the past 30 - odd years from CSN solo(yes solo just the three of them on an acoustic tour) which ironically they were followed on this tour by Neil Young on his own solo acoustic tour(two days later at Tanglewood) but the four of them as CSNY never hooked up that tour. Stephen Stills and Judy Collins together played at The Shed, The Moody Blues played Tanglewood backed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, what a great show that was. Bonnie Raitt with Gordon Lightfoot opening up. Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett especially Bennett who was a regular performer there. And James Taylor has always performed at Tanglewood on July 3 & July 4 for the past 50yrs. There are so many more great shows to many to list, and let's not forget what Tanglewood was built for, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra performing all those great Classical Music Performances with some great world renown soloist. Not to mention some of the legendary conductors who Led the BSO like Serge Koussevitzky who The Shed is named for from 1936 to 1949 and Seiji Ozawa from 1973 to 2002. Guest conducts like John Williams of Star Wars and Indiana Jones famed composer. And Lenornard Bernstein conducting his "West Side Story" several times over the years. Tanglewood is a must see bucket list, it's beautiful landscape which is free admission on non - performing days and of course the concerts themselves, whether sitting in The Shed or out on the Lawn, Tanglewood is a great place to be in the summertime in the Berkshires. 🎸🎻🏞️🌄🌌

A great night
excellent!
Gosh dang, I love Martin giving Serenade to a Cuckoo a go!
Fanbloodytastic!! So near perfect !!!! ❤❤
That dude can really sing
Very Enjoyable.
Love this Martin !! Your singer nailed it !!! Ian is no doubt smiling somewhere !!!
Some all time Tull favourites and classics ❤️
Rob - this set of videos from Martin's acoustic gig is simply awesome ! 👏👏👏
Love it!
thanks
Superb musicians; dress like slobs.
Love it! Thank you for putting this up.
Time to go home, do some gardening.
Larry, they're over.
I’m.a Ramones style punk rocker but this is FANTASTIC ‼️🎸🎶🔥🎼
Budda: Martin solo from Jethro Tull, Quite Right.
The band is so tight and the sound mix is ageless. Thank you for sharing.
Es como tomar un café sin azúcar...Muy rico, suena maravilloso pero falta Ian,quien es único e inimitable. Hubieran compuesto temas propios
Thanks for the video. One modern day trend I can't stand is the blasted videos being played behind the band. It's distracting as hell.
I understand your point - but it’s one everyone follows
Best rendition since Tull was prime.
This is amazingly good. Martin is still superb and the vocalist is just incredible. 45 year Tull fan.
how was the crowd
Saw the band on Thurs. In Ft.Lauderdale they are fantastic Dan Crisp on vocals and the duel guitar attack akin to Wishbone Ash or the Allmans just a spectacular band!
Well done. Tick tock perfect. It brought back memories of Arklow Music Festival in the 'seventies. You can play on my band anytime Adrian!! By the way do you have to get a special license to play a brass euphonium on a silver band? Go n'éirí an bóthar díbh go léir!!
AHHHHhhhh - Yes - Tull in their early years. This was my introductory tour - I was a great fan already, but had not seen them onstage - what an experience - cutting the definition of the term "Progressive Rock" out of all that had come before - they hammered and chipped, split and polished the music down into what would be some of the finest compositions and performances of the next two decades. Thank you, Ian - and all the Boys - for the defining sounds of my lifetime
Vocalist has Ian's tone.....Brilliant!
Great old fashioned cornet playing! This is what a day in the park was invented for. Well done Archie!
Nice horn playing!
I'm glad this band, and Martin, are able to continue playing this great music. However, why did they feel the need to employ a singer with Ian Anderson's blown out vocal cords? Not even "Songs From The Wood" blown out; but "Rock Island" blown out.
A cocktail of 007 themes which leaves me not shaken, but stirred. Well done the band.
Just watching this video, all I can say to all of those young folk and teenagers out there is, get rid of your Xboxes and iPhones, and learn to play the guitar. One day, if you practice hard enough you could be playing music like this. You will thank me later….
Amazing 😍😍😍
Was fortunate to have seen them 17 times over the years they were great,, but unfortunately not in the Rock N Roll hall of fame along side such Rock luminaries as Missy Elliot... wtf
Well played, especially as it looks a bit chilly. PS. Nice shiny bugle
A great Tull lineup..and I have seen many of them over the years....Clive is awesome
Very interesting and informative.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great piece
