Thanks for making this video! I ordered this book today! Im discerning the priesthood and I heard some frightening stories in the seminaries people told me that happened back in the 60s to the 80s.. I am not sure how seminaries are now. But I am looking into FSSP SSPX or ICKSP, I want to be a priest that does Traditional Latin Mass. God bless!
Thank you so very much for this book review. I just ordered a copy today. . I’ve been wanting to read but afraid that it would harm in that I’d lose faith in the Church. I never ever want to be separated from Christ and His Bride. I has never attended a Latin Mass, but I hope to soon. It’s hard for me to get there and I don’t drive. I do veil, kneel, and receive on tongue. These are personal promises I made to Our Lord. I’ve been Catholic all my life, but didn’t believe in the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist until the Holy Spirit revealed this to me at Holy Mass. Inside me He told me that is Jesus on the Alter and my jaw hung, and since then I feel like I need to learn more, pray more, just be with Him more. So I read and pray the prayers that have just been put aside. The latest blow is the new book by Pope Francis although I did not read it, but those who have, Raymond onnEWTN just did a review and it’s beyond horrible the nasty words he says about the people and TLM. It’s okay, I’d rather be backward, and what ever else he said, than to be a leftist that promotes un Godly things. I’m praying for his conversion and for our new pope to be an extremely holy pope. Fact is ectopic pregnancy removal isn’t an abortion, it is a miscarriage. Please don’t classify your miscarriages from a pregnancy in the fallopian tubes as an abortion from the uterus. They aren’t the same thing. You didn’t abort your baby, you had a miscarriage. I pray you find peace.
Keep religion out of politics. Using religious fear is just as bad as Trump’s doomsday speeches. God will not smite you from making a decision that you feel is best for you and your country. There is a reason why there is a separation of church and state. No religion not just Catholicism should be apart of it.

I think that the tweet was a challenge for people who take communion kneeling and by the mouth to ask themselves if they are doing it out of a selfish desire to publicly demonstrate that they are ‘more pious’ and therefore critical of others. I take his statement as a challenge for us to reflect on this subject. There are indeed hypocrites out there.
Of the things that people can take to make them think they are better than others, that hasn’t been one of them. The core reason for them to receive on the tongue has been reverence for thr Real Presence. I know many NO Mass people see TLM people as snobs, which some are, but I haven’t noticed any self elevation with receiving on the tongue only. In the Byzantine Rite, there is no reception in the hand, and there isn’t this issue.
You stopped paying . Thats the way it goes. You know that before you rent it. Like anything else. You dont pay you dont get to keep it.
It was during Covid and we lost our income as a result. Every where else was willing to give a grace period and work with us. It didn’t help that they raised the rent every six months. That is something the original owner of the place didn’t do.

Let me think on that. Last year I started reading the Bible from the beginning again. I started noticing, patterns and little derision I hadn’t before. I also started asking my husband questions as a result. Some things he didn’t know the answer for, so he got me an Ignatius guide to the Old Testament.
Has the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible with old and new testament been published yet.
Not combined yet, though I imagine they will still be separate volumes since the Old Testament is massive and the New Testament is already substantial. They have the individual books of the Old Testament available, but I think that is probably more costly like with the New Testament.

He was the manager of that location. He was the highest level position there. I don’t doubt his incompetency, but as you can see from the comments, I’m not the only one who has a had a problem with them, and at different locations.

RSV Catholic Ed. (1966) My favorite. Accepted by Catholics, Anglicans, etc. NEW AMERICAN (1970) 🏮 Not my favorite, but it will get the job done. 🏮 NRSV (1989) Obnoxiously and absurdly WOKE. Dumpster fire. RSV 2nd ed. (2006) ✝ Very beautiful reading. ✝
I actually did a video on which Bible is the best translation. Douay Rheims is the most accurate translation, but as a study bible, I reference the Ignatius study Bible.
Hi . I give the top prize to the 1966 RSV Catholic Ed. because it is accepted by Catholics, Anglicans, Eastern Orthodox, and many Protestants. And the 3 movies I like the most are JESUS OF NAZARETH (1977) , JESUS (1979) 🏮, and THE PASSION (2004) ✝. Just my opinions.

As someone who just started praying the rosary, and as someone who used to make my own prayer beads (when I was a Buddhist but now feeling to convert to becoming Catholic) I find this video really awesome! I know this was made years ago but I just wanted to leave a comment and thank you for this tutorial. It was really fun to watch and I may have to try making my own rosary sometime. From what I have read comming from Phil Lawler, it was the american bishops in the early twentieth century that taught american politicians to lie. It is worth reading Faithfully Departed by Philip Lawler. The writes fo the NCR.

@@christinascatholichomemaking Dont read it if you dont want to get depressed however. Lawler is an excellent writer and a good Catholic. He goes into detail how the catholic churches bishops perverted the faith. He also explains that catholic politicians are the reason abortion was passed. He sites specific politicians with names. Anyway pray as much as you can. God bless.

@@christinascatholichomemaking Yes it helps you to understand. I agree. Try to pray at least one Rosary a day if you can. I am 67 and have read alot about exocisms. If you want to understand more about the supernatural part of our church, watch Fr Chad Ripperger. He is excellent. He explains what is happening to our world and church today. What makes Catholicism mysterious beautiful and worth dying for, is the supernatural. When you believe in the supernatural you will understand catholicism better. I had a dramatic conversion experience 10 years ago after being away for 46 years. The Holy Spirit of God converted me in an instant. Its a long story but God gave me a grace to know without a doubt He is Real. I can also feel Gods prescence when I walk into a church. The Holy Eucharist is REAL.

They have all the books of the Old Testament done, but they are published as individual books still, and not compiled as one big Old Testament.

Look for "The Last Pope" by Fr. Malachi Martin. He worked in the Vatican in the 60's and he died in a very odd way. He says that his book was written like a novel but that 85% of the book is facts and all the characters are real but with changed names..

Right off the bat she says women have choice in who they marry..... Yup, just like choosing which God you pick...... Trusting in him is the kicker. Believe=trust believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shat be saved (kjv). Trust in Jesus and you get to be a real bride.... Otherwise you a concubine without inheritance in heaven. God used Babylon to do his will unwittingly.... Examine yourself to see if you are in the faith. Faith in religion is not the same as faith in God. I'm sure there are a ton of saved folks in the catholic church. This lady is probably one of them.... But if you think that ritual will actually help you, then you aught to re-examine what you believe in.
I’m just guessing by ritual, you mean tradition. Keep in mind, you will find the Mass in the Bible. Particularly in the book of Apocalypse. You might want to check out 2 Thessalonians 2:14. Oh, there are plenty of Catholics who won’t make heaven. Just like anything else, identifying as something doesn’t make you what you claim. Jesus established a Church, and a religion is part of that, Just as Jesus was a Jew and that was His religion. He came to establish His Church, which He did in the Catholic Church. I have met lots of Protestants that live more Catholic than many Catholics I know. Have you ever read or heard of St. Leonard of Port Maurice? He has a sermon called The Fewness of the Saved. Very much worth listening to, if you look it up on RUclips.
If the pope is the head of the church and he says things contrary to Jesus Christ or his father, then what? Is he a disobedient wife ruining his children? I can see that...... But what do the kids do. I suppose they are still suppose to follow the pope right? Children..... Don't obey your mother when she gives her husband the finger, lol.
Remember, he is the vicar of Christ. Not everything he says is infallible. It would have to be an ex cathedra statement on faith and morals. So, if he declares the grass purple, no one is required to believe it, and they would be crazy to, because it is just his opinion. He is also intentionally vague on many things. This is what gets so many Catholics stirred, the conservative ones at least. He can’t violate scripture or tradition. The Catholic Church stands on the three legged stool of scripture, Magisterium, and Tradition. Scripture always trumps and Magisterium guides and leads. Traditiom is in both the Magisterium and Tradition (2 Thessalonians 2:14 again). If he commits heresy, he is no longer Pope. The Holy Spirit protects the Church, as promised by Jesus when He said the gates of Hell would not prevail against the Church.

No, she can’t. Women are built and desifned differently. It is a matter of biology. No, I’m not sick, but you do have a distorted view of what is healthy and okay. A mom’s instinct is to take of her kids, and while she may try her best, her kid(s) are sadly getting the left overs. Dad’s are different. They’re primary role isn’t quite the same. They provide and protect. As someone whose mom worked throughout my childhood, I can vouch for the fact that the kids suffer for their moms not being there and then the leftovers they get.
And we wonder where we went Wong...... Thanks for sticking your foot so far up there you can taste it. House wives complain about it being a full time job and how tough it is.... We should all just pull double shifts and stick our kids in a day care institution...... That will make us all equally miserable.... Oh we are.
