As a mother of pre-teens (a scary word to use) and avid readers, I know the difficulties of finding good stories for my children to read and to grow and learn from. Stories have the ability to capture our imaginations, to help us wrestle with difficult topics and seasons of life, and to develop empathy and compassion for worlds and lived experiences different from our own. However, not all stories are created equal and while some are great, there are other stories with undercurrents of deception that may seek to steal the minds, imaginations, and innocence of our children.
I know there will be some who disagree with my reviews and opinions, and that is absolutely okay. My goal and purpose is to provide information to parents so that YOU ultimately have the power to judge what is right for your children to read.
