Bravo!!!! I will be making my first Haunt Mansion display this year. It has been a crazy year making and buying stuff for it. Cannot wait for my neighbors to see it!

Yo, as a HM fan, I gotta say this is friggin awesome. It’s so good that due to inspiration from so many home haunts, me n my folks are gonna do our own this year, on a smaller scale with our garage being the seance room and our front yard the graveyard. If possible, could u tell how do you do the Leota projection, like what projector and video? And when will this be up this year? What days and hours? Cause I think we’ll pay a visit ourselves.
The projector isn’t very important, we use an old 50 dollar eBay bought sharp projector that does 1024x768. This effect actually works better at lower brightness levels and higher contrast. The video we have is the same one of Leota you’ll find on RUclips. The main hurdle of this effect is making an accurately shaped head that matches the video as a smooth projection surface and getting a glass globe hand blown to go over, not the easiest thing to do. Inserting a foam wig head doesn’t quite look right but will work to some degree. I would message with various artists on Etsy that have the necessary expertise for these custom items if you want the real thing.
I see. Well I think we have a very good on how to proceed. Just need to purchase all the necessary stuff. What do you use to camouflage the projector? A painted box or a fake bookcase with a hole for the video to show through? Whichever one will work for us honestly. And can you please tell the days and hours for this year? Cause we’re interested in paying a spooky visit ourselves.
@@T-Wrecks13Yes, any enclosure with enough ventilation and a hole for the lens would work. We are open various nights in October. If you go to Eventbrite and search for Haunted Mansion Haunt you should find our free tickets and dates.

Thank you for coming! We usually experience this on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7-8:45 pm. We always recommend guests who are aware of it to show later in the evening around 9pm so we can spread out the rush or come on an entirely different day, especially if they prefer less scare acting on the weekdays.
Saw this finally in person and it made my Halloween!

Really appreciate that, we are located in Portola Hills in Lake Forest California. Usually open for 10 days at the end of October. We have tickets you have to reserve, it will be posted on our Instagram and Facebook.

Start small, our first year wasn't very good but people still came by. This took about 20 years to build up.

Top notch! Love the garage door trick ! All that work and set up for trick or treat night (2 hour window). Kudos!
It’s actually for 10 days we run the attraction. It starts the second to last Friday and is every night till Halloween. It’s much more elaborate now from what you see in this video and would be too crazy for just a single night.

I grew up in Windermere Florida I live pretty close to the back entrance of Disney World period my whole family has worked at Disney World for many years. I pretty much grew up at the resorts sneaking in on the weekends laying out by the pool picking up boys. Our family always had Disney World tickets. My father worked there for 25 years plus and my mother-in-law work there also so we always had free tickets
