A video about rail trails I made in grade 5

I was looking through some of my old iMovie videos I made on my old rail analysis channel. I found this video I made about rail trails, which was poorly edited on Canva and I made it in 5th grade. So I sound very young in this video, but I wanted to upload it for memory's sake.

Thank you all for 100 subscribers, I got so much positive feedback on my last video, it was insane! I will be out with another addition to Metrolinx:Simplified discussing the proposed Dundas Street BRT.

The Queen Street BRT is one of Metrolinx's numerous plans to improve public transit in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area of Canada; and nobody's talking about it. Not even RMTransit! So I'll talk about it to shine some light on the Queen Street/Highway 7 BRT. In this video, I take clips of freight trains and commuter trains in Brampton and Mississauga, Canada at different angles. I'm experimenting with new angles to see what works best for railfanning. If you enjoyed the video, please subscribe.
VIA Rail, GO Transit and UP Express @ Spadina St Bridge

In this video, me and Dad head to the North Bathurst Yard less than a kilometre from Toronto Union Station. We're standing on the Spadina Street bridge above the corridor. We caught a lot of nice stuff, such as a VIA, GO train and UP Express all coming into the camera at the same time, two GO trains sandwiching a stopped VIA, and even a conductor who honked at us! If you enjoy the video, please...

16 minutes of Canadian trains

In this video, I go around Toronto and its neighbouring cities filming some of their most iconic trains and railway destinations for 15 minutes and 30 seconds! Enjoy. Consider subscring, liking and commenting if you want to see more videos about trains and filming trains.
You sound really young and I love that for you do not lose your enthusiasm about things you are passionate about 👍🏼 I am young myself but older than you for sure and it always gives me joy to see younger people go for their goals 🥰 it reminds me that I am still super young and to actually do something about things I’ve been procrastinating on 🤣 I gave you a like and a sub for good luck 😅
What kind of BRT is this? A median brt or a just bus lanes on the side of the road?
Great video, hope this mean we may see a future video on the sister project, the Scarborough-Durham BRT.
Great content, thank you for posting this. Love the videos you've posted so far and the attention to detail and use of tech to visualize things for the viewer. To be completely honest, however, I'm struggling with your voice. You are obviously a young user of public transit and passionately invested in the future of transpo, but your perceived immaturity and perceived lack of experience makes it difficult for me to deeply invest in this topic with you. Obviously, you are educated and conduct great research - I'm not challenging this, rather that your voice implies otherwise. If you are concerned about my comment and are looking to adapt, one suggestion may be to pronounce words more clearly and speak more formally to match the tone of the content ("dis" -> "this", and "wif" -> "with", for example). I'm not trying to diminish the work you're doing I'm instead trying offer a perspective early in your social media career. Good luck out here!
Love how many canadian transit channels have been popping recently
Cut and dried good news!!!
Waterdown has public transit. HSR offers both on-demand and a fixed route service in Waterdown connecting it with Aldershot GO.
@@phlegmkessel4841 I never saw a mention of this. Thank you for the correction.
Awesome video! Love the editing
@@allysonkoid8915 Thank you!
STRAIGHT FIRE BROTHER KEEP IT UP
@@rileypavao2608 Will do, will do!
100 car Catamaran from Hamilton to Toronto, 30 min service, 6 am to 10 am and 2 pm to 6pm. A used one costs about $4 million. Get 4 of them. Cost half as much as what this BRT would cost, wouldn't impede traffic on Dundas and the only major construction costs would be refurbishing the loading docks.
@@rohits3748 we never think about water travel…
Awesome video! Two small corrections, Waterdown does have 1 Hamilton regional transit bus route that connects to Aldershot GO in Burlington, and Etobicoke is pronounced more like Etobico by people in Toronto (which to be fair I didnt know until I moved here from Halton region over 7 years ago)
Noted! I've had several call me out for my latter butcher :D
Good editing!
Thank you! I took a look at your recent videos and I reciprocate the same feelings towards your art!
@@RAILdocumenterON Lol my videos are all old school projects from ages ago. I should unlist those. I hope another transit channel gets popular now that Reece is taking a break
@@MatthewHoHiWorld Me, TransitTalks and TrainNook are all taking over the Toronto transit scene. I miss Vanishing Underground, he was my real favourite. Reece was amazing but VU got to the point and I loved his graphics. The key to Toronto transit is being passed down.
Great stuff. Remember the KE at the end of Etobicoke is silent i.e EtobiCOke not EtobiCOKE

Great job again.
Thanks!
Hurray the dundas BRT! And a day early no less

Will do!
Great job! Subscribed!
@@lguy123 Thank you!
yeah extending the main spine of the LRT to Confederation is a no-brainer its one of many extensions Metrolinx should have on their radar
I think Metrolinx has plans to build a GO station on the Barrie to serve highway 7. I believe it'll be called Concord station. That would make this project a much more worthy endeavour.
@@drewpatterson8261 I checked that out a while back; it sounds great!
Came here not too long ago
Hey, when's that video gonna come out? XD
I’ll try next week
great video! would love to see an explainer of the Dundas BRT that's been announced!
Next monday
With the advent of electric buses I don’t see the need of LRTs. Look at all the headaches around the Eglinton LRT and the dedicated Spadina street lanes. LRTs don’t make sense now. A bus lane would be better bang for the buck
@@Cocothecat2023 train cool :)
Brampton Transit's Zum 501 bus has been following this exact route for over 10 years, terminating at York University.
@@lornegilbert9734 On the same lanes as every other car.
Nice catch! God job!
@@Edwards-Videos thanks!
Spent most of my life learning to transit from Richmond hill to Toronto. Yes, please make Rhill centre a transit hub
Well, as numerous commenters have corrected me, Richmond Hill Centre is already accessible by VIVA BRT, but the Queen Street BRT will be the first ever link between BRAMPTON and Richmond Hill, which is awesome :)
If the citizens do not want it, why is it going ahead? To keep SNC Lavalin in business?
Our very own white elephant. It won't get built because it's the most stupid project in Canadian history.
I still find it so bewildering that the Hurontario LRT doesn’t go to downtown Brampton in the initial plans and is only a part of the potential extension…
@@stefannmarkoviccc Au contrare; it was going to happen but got cancelled because the majority of the Brampton City Council voted against if
Nice!
Thank you!
In their big plans, why didn't they make it loop up Confederation Pkwy to get to the Confederation GO station there ? Daahh ?? Also, I suspect that West Harbour GO will become the default station in that city, and that the TH&B station at Hunter Street will be downgraded or closed. They also need a spur up north on James St to the West Harbour GO. Aarre Peltomaa of Mississauga, Ontario
They are heavy thinkers ;) Doug Ford is pretty heavy to be honest
Just make the bloody thing; back in 2018 they were planning on finishing it by 2024, it's already 2025!!!
nice work
@@HughGordon Thank you!
I couldn't even get to the end of the video. The music is too loud and annoying and I could barely hear what you were saying so just gave up.
@@neilpalmer230 I’ll work on that next time.

woahhhh the quality and sub count/voice does NOT match at all looks like the future is in good hands as a student at mcmaster, walking off campus and immediately getting plopped onto the 6 lane stroad hwy8 is kinda depressing. but im sure an lrt would make things better :D
@@humphryshan9494 For sure!
THe Ford consaervatives believe in downloading the cots of building transit onto the municipalities while maintaining control using their Metrolinx Pitbulls. If Hamilton want additional lines they should start raising property taxes by 10% a year for the next 25 years to get all lines built. Its the only way the municipalities will get transit built. They must pay for it themselves since Doug Ford believes those who use it should pay 100% of the cost of building it. This is exactly like the Eglingotn Easr line in Scarborough where the city will have to come up with an estimated 4.6 Billion dollars. Given Metro links history with project they should factor in an actual cost of 16 to 20 billion for a final cost on Day one of revenue based operati.
This gave me a lot to think about, thank you!
this is the second video that popped up when I searched the hamilton lrt, you're doing numbers kid. I would recommend that you ditch the terrible google maps UI and start using openstreetmap instead. Also, you could add google earth renders to increase the production value, and you can even draw lines on google earth to make your own graphics. oh and if you receive any abusive comments, remember that as a minor, you could always get the police involved
