Daily Progress Update (2025-01-24) Bug Enemy Finished!
-Bug enemy and Nest work (mostly) as intended now. The bug takes damage, damages the player, and respawns at the nest based on whatever parameters are set on the nest object in the scene.
-Bug enemy is targetable

there is a bug where the Bug Enemy jumps excessively high up in the air, and I'm not sure what causes that, but I'll figure it out.

-Made a LOT of progress with scripting the behavior of the Bug enemy. It behaves exactly the way I want it to (aside from jumping not working for some reason just as I hit record???? LOL) All that's left is: -make a proper "nest" system that respawns these bugs when they die -make it so that the bug can take damage and die -make it so that the bug deals damage when attacking

-Altered some animations for Bug Enemy, and also made some new ones -Applied a grayscale fur texture to the bug enemy, designed to blend with the vertex colours. -Created some basic damage collision for Bug enemy that responds to animations Will for sure get back to work on sounds for this enemy next time, and also begin work on the scripting for this enemy.

-Continued modelling the Bug, added a texture to a joint, discovered a weight-painting mistake, not sure what kind of textures to use for the head and abdomen of the Bug, either a carapace texture or a fur texture. This time I returned to working on the Dungeon level. It's currently inaccessible in the build, so I won't bother updating the download for it -Setup Locked doors in level, and added lootable chest with key in it -Setup proper spawn point in dungeon level. -Updated Dungeon Door mesh with geometry and animations for Locked, Unlocked, and Unlock states. -Added some chests to test level, and made it so that the door is locked by default. One chest contains a key, which unlocks the door. when saving, the game remembers which doors are unlocked and which chests have been looted. -Another chest contains the tactical knife, allowing you to do battle with the plant enemy. -added some more test surfaces for footstep sound-effects

Fixed some bugs that were caught by a discord user, and made some little changes to the Test Level. I was unable to finish implementing the "Locked Door" feature, so the door in the scene will remain unlocked for the time-being. the files available for download have been updated.
