Almost everybody except the manufacturers and the engineers who installed then are complaining about this brutal unnatural lighting,. All over the world astronomers, health professionals, psychiatrists, environmentalists , biologists and lighting experts are complaining on scientific grounds, while anyone can see they are ugly, unnatural and not fit for purpose. Whether they will eventually save money or energy remains to be seen, according to the International Dark Skies Association and the Campaign for Amber Streetlights. Yet this company is proud to announce they have done the damage. Do not be fooled. There is no scientific evidence that these lights improve road safety or reduce crime and much evidence they do not, and it is surely obvious they do not make cites attractive places. A prominent objector in Italy calls the lighting engineers, 'assassins of the soul of Rome'. These lights make even rural areas unattractive places at night. It is a disgrace that the public were never consulted before prison-yard white lighting was imposed on them,. Where they are consulted, in the odd rare case they have been, they choose something more sympathetic and fit for purpose. As for these 'smart' surveillance 5G lampposts, they chill my blood.. What could possibly be their purpose? To what uses might they be put? Our ecological system is collapsing and we need MORE technology? It seems that killing off seventy percent of the world's insects in less the a century is not good enough. Time for more drastic measures. .

Can you build this but also with a pci 16x :P Guarantee you everyone would build their own micro pc's and it'd blow up like Raspberry Pi. Just missing ability to add external gpu.

AAEON boxer

3X the price of an NX dev kit out of the box, and comes with LESS. Limited to 12v (as opposed to 19v max on NX dev kit). No power supply provided. No CPU fan. No wifi included, cannot boot from standard jetpack microSD image - has its own permanent storage that holds bootable image that you must jump through hoops to restore WHEN things go badly. Does not come with standard ubuntu configuration like nx does. No M.2 slot for internal ssd storage. The nvidia dev kit comes with ALL of this for a fraction of the price. Essentially, you're paying around $900.00 for aluminium casing that acts as a heatsink. We were able to setup everything we needed using an NX developer kit out of the box. Same setup procedure on the aaeon crashes the whole unit. Not sure what this product was designed to do... seems that it takes an awesome, portable, lightweight unit and turns it into a clunky desktop-like paperweight. In fact, for the price, you can get a better performing desktop server system. Don't even think about using this for mid to small sized drones.
