The assessment of the Demon is a little unfair. When it was only a few years old it was very smooth. It's just been in operation for 4 decades, it need decommissioning or a top to bottom refurb job. Also fun fact the Demon was the rollercoaster that actually inspired the roller coaster sequence in final destination 3. There was an incident where the train managed to get stuck upside down in one of the loops and it was actually pretty tricky to rescue the people stuck on it. Something that when it was in the movie was considered unrealistic because "a roller coaster can't get stuck in the loop". Though to be fair this is the only record of it having happened on any coaster.

I have ridden Millennium Force, Raging Bull and X2. All great choices, and it’s a given that X2 should be number one. One coaster though that deserves at least an honorable mention on here would be Cannibal at Lagoon. The cars are first hauled to the top by an elevator lift inside of a tower. After moving forward out of the tower, it pauses for a couple of seconds before nose diving down a 208 foot drop at 116 degrees into an underground tunnel. I believe it’s the second steepest drop in the states, and fifth steepest in the world.

Scooby Doo was always my favourite coaster. I haven't been there since the Gen 2 launch, though. It looks like the spin and reverse motion hasn't changed, which is good. I hope the axes are still there. It looks like the animatronics have been replaced by holographics. Superman escape was a close second favourite. I'd hardly call the road runner coaster a thrill ride. It's a children's roller-coaster, but it is fun. It's a good one to start on if anyone in your party is nervous about roller-coasters.

Unpopular opinion: I find swing launches (especially TT2) very overhyped! I find them gimmicks to advertise a "multi-launch" when the first launch is lowered down and needs to take more time to get up to speed. The second and third launches don't really feel like launches, more like just going faster, like stepping on the gas when you get on the highway.

I've rode a majority of Cedar Points coasters and they're the best! I haven't been up there in several years so I haven't rode some of the latest ones but my sister has rode them all and loved them all especially Steel Vengeance
