Bachmann SC-44 Charger pulling my re detailed into phase 4B (6) walthers Horizon Car Hiawatha set. These are what I used prior to the Rapido Horizon cars that were released in late 2020, yes no comparison to Rapidos detail, but they filled a void for several years. The Cab Car is kitbashed by me about 9 or more years ago. It is a Bachmann gutted out dummy that filled the void before Rapido

    Amtrak’s Genesis locomotives have had the best K5LA’s so far in my opinion. Even better than the F40 K5LA’s! Beautiful K5LA on AMTK 25!

      Because the locals complained about the constant trains blocking downtown crossings.

      Since Reno is a crew change point, the train is stopped there for 10 minutes, maybe longer. With that, plus all the long freight trains, very often, emergency vehicles would be delayed responding to emergencies because the trains were blocking the main streets in Downtown Reno. Now that the tracks are below the street, there will never be constant train horns or any traffic jams from trains ever again.

      Bird Guy it is a quiet no Horn zone, so this is on the crossbucks, an electronic Horn reproduction. That is what Del Mar residents wanted.

    All phase 3 Amtrak. 2 F40s elephant style. 1 F40 back to back. Except for Amfleet 2 all are heritage. Bag 2 coach 10/6 sleeper Amfleet 2 lounge. Boston section. Diner Amfleet 2 coaches slumbercoach 10/6 sleeper baggage dorm car. New York section. Split at Albany.

    Hi, what LS or LS Select file number did you used? By the way, I think the original Amtrak Cali paint scheme is much nicer and CLEAN than the current one. I'm not fan of the excess logo and other stuff that they keep adding on the original paint scheme.

    I love the walthers trainline f40ph via rail locomotive, I also have the #6404 but no sound chip! how much did your loksound chip go for? please let me know. Thank you!

      It is a Loksound basic decoder, hardwired to Walthers as it was not DCC ready. The sound file is on ESU website Free to download with the ESU programmer. about a hundred $$ for the decoder.

    JohnnyG10, First off, whoa - that's a lot of caps. Second off, that's not a 25' RB-S, but rather a 33' SPC-LE. Third, any boat under 65' is not considered a cutter, so this clearly is not a cutter and "twenty-five ft cutter" is a contradiction within itself. I'd say that you're not the defender of truth. Also, "incredibly fabulous" is a bit ambitious, isn't it?

    normally the horns sounded much better on the F40s. this one sounds like two of the chimes are plugged up with dirt.

    Dang nice historical video! I moved to the Reno, Nevada area in year 2004 and I was able to shoot a hand full of videos of Amtrak and freight trains above ground before the Reno train trench was completed in year 2005. If you cruise by my youtube account you can see a few above ground Reno RR videos.
