sweetie Ive been doing crochet and knit for over 60 years (yes Im old) I always have 3 or 4 projects going at the same time. Take your time and have fun with it. We all think others can do it better that we do, But guess what Ive seen them make mistakes and start over again We all do it. Your granny square blanket is very pretty!!

Honestly I get it. I feel that way a lot! But I started crocheting in April, I have to realize everything takes times and I can’t have 18,000 projects going on at once. You’re not alone ❤

Your plan is excellent so far, taking a issue and nip it immediately. This is the first video i've seen by you, and i can see that you already know a lot of things regarding being an artist before going into crochet, which a lot of crochet youtubers don't know about at all being new to the craft and having a hobby in general. A lot of crochet artists have issues with starting a hundred projects and not being able to finish any or all of them! it's normalized, but it's not practical. (like having a disorganized yarn stash) The main time you should stop a project is if youre really hating it, or your skills aren't quite matching the pattern itself. (ive had to do this a few times, ive been crocheting for over ten years but i never learned tapestry crochet or lacework, but i just love seeing them on instagram. most of my unfinished wips are tapestry crochet projects because i haven't figured it out yet x__x) wow sorry for yapping, i just think you're making some super great points here & i needed to hear this rn also. I'm working on a mandala blanket from a pattern i found in a grocery store magazine rn lol (october they/them)
I also learned to crochet stuff for myself !!!! Once you know the stiches and follow more techniques you become more confident.
