Firouzja Achieves 6th GCL Win, Toppling Vishy Anand for the Second Time in Just 30 Moves!
I have autism
What is this black opening Called ? I am using it since 8 years but never saw GM play this 😂
Modern Defense: Rat Defense, Accelerated Gurgenidze Variation,,, strangest one i ever heard 😂
Why so ?@@chessrecap9901
Too good to be true.
haha
Doesnt count, cheater
This was prior to getting banned ryt
@@chessrecap9901 Same with steroid users... all merits stripped This gets no reverence from anyone anymore All of his titles will be retroactively stripped, whether that happens officially or in the court of public opinion, doesnt really matter If a guy will go so insanely far to cheat IRL, then you cant trust a thing he ever did online
same with case for Niemann,, but he is trying his best to make a strong comeback
f4 gxh4 exd4 exd4 f3 f5
exd4 ?? d4 square is empty bro
After white Kc7 black could have played Nxd6
Then the match will end more quickly with a mate in one instead of a mate in two, with knight to b6 checkmating the black king, as all of its escape squares are blocked by the white king.
what if he promotes to a knight ?
Then he can prolong the game for a few more moves, but he won't escape the mating net, as we will keep our rook on the third rank, capturing the knight the moment it moves. The king will be stuck on the h1 and h2 squares.
basic
how did magnus miss that though... was it time pressure? he could have easily won
Yes, Magnus was under time pressure. At the time of the rook to c2 mistake, he had half the time of MVL on the clock: 4 minutes compared to MVL's 8
Knowing how much time they had would justify such a blunder, to alow your opponent to fork your rooks like that.. what a miss on a first time!
I agree with you; Giri had 1:58, and Firouzja had 1:11 at the time of the blunder. Firouzja is known for his bullet-speed chess, so credit can't be taken away from Giri for this win.
Ilove your English
Thanks! I hope that’s a compliment! 😊
Wow you should keep playing chess. You might be India's next gm🎉
Haha, I’ll take that as a compliment! Just need to stop losing my pieces first!
Why would black move his queen to c5? Makes no sense
Yes, bro, there are many choices for Black to play from that position. Black can keep checking the White king with moves like a3, b2, or d2, but Black is still in zugzwang and remains under a mating net. That was the point of the video: no moves improve the position; it’s not a forced mate.
Quuen g5 is also check mate
No, bro, queen to g5 allows the king to move to f7. The king is still in a mating net, but it can prolong the game for two more moves.
I just discovered this, I think you should do something about the voice. I can barely hear you, it would definitely be better for your future videos
Thanks for the tip,, I am working on it
Queen d1
No need for queen to d1, bro; queen to d3 is perfectly fine, as it prevents the king from escaping through the b5 square.
Hikaru vs Vishy in GCL ❤
Absolutely thrilling match! Loved every moment! ❤️
Pretty sure black can stop this by moving rook to e8 over queen to b6
Rook to e8 won't work, because there is a forced mate in two moves after Black's rook moves to e8. White will continue with g4+, and the only move for the Black king is f6. Then, White's rook on e4 will move to e6, delivering checkmate. Thank you for trying out the puzzle; I appreciate your effort!
The reason you have to take the pawn is to force the black to move the queen. There are no checks and wherever queen goes it follows with mate. Pushing the b pawn doesnt work either, figure that out yourself
I believe I explained the same thing in the video. The Black king is in a zugzwang position, and after White plays queen to d3, checkmate is incoming. Anyway, thanks for trying out the puzzle!
He takes I takes takes takes takes
Hahhahah
Not a blunder, Alireza purposely didnt take the queen to win by time
Alireza's move was strategic to exploit time pressure, keeping the game alive. However, with more time, Magnus could have found a winning sequence. It highlights the balance between material and managing the clock in high-stakes matches!
That was not a blunder.....
There was a forced mate for Magnus to win after that move, bro
@@chessrecap9901Magnus was very low on time and Alireza knew that if he took the queen the game will end in a draw so he let Magnus’s time ran out and since Alireza has a knight and Alireza can theoretically checkmate Magnus, he won the game instead of a draw.
Well Said!!
after white e6,black just continue promote
Glad that you were able to find that 👏! Sacrificing the e and f pawns will allow the g pawn to win you the game
this one wasn't too bad because there's only a few options for check with the first move
Glad you were able to find it
What about Kh8
I didn't get you, bro. King to h8 will not prevent queen promotion; the game is already won for Carlsen in that position.
if anyone plays Rg3, it fails to Qf1+ and it is mate anyways
rook g3 is just giving away free rook and queen to f1+?? rook on b2 control back rank
I am your 500th sub!! Congrats men!
Thanks for subbing! Manh u made my day
@@chessrecap9901 oh glad to hear that
vishy anand and knights - a deadly combination
Definitely! Anand's mastery of knights is exceptional
No Magnus won !?
It is now called 'Titled Tuesday' with two sessions: 'Titled Tuesday Early' and 'Titled Tuesday Late,' both featuring an 11-round Swiss format. Carlsen won the Titled Tuesday Late on September 24, while Niemann won the Titled Tuesday Early on the same day. I hope this answers your question.
How could I spot this in a game im only 850 elo
Good question! It takes practice to spot tactics. Focus on common patterns like forks and pins. The more you play and analyze, the better you'll get. Keep it up!
@@chessrecap9901 Thank you!
Knight to g4 then knight to f6 and last rook to h7
that was quick,,, 👏
Please record face with good quality camera, and also show arrows, rooting for you! Malayali aano?
Thanks for the Feedback Bro,,, 😊
Dayem! 99.4% Accuracy?
that was insane game
c6
it is queen sac followed by knight to f2 mate !!,, thanks for stopping by anyway
Why not queen takes? Bcuz i can that after Qxd7 We get Kf8, Qxc8, ke7 and finally Qd8#
i didnt get you bro,, queen cant take d7 since bishop is skewing white queen and king after rook takes on c8,, and before rook takes on c8 if he goes for queen takes on d7 ,, its hanging a queen since black bishop is covering that square
@@chessrecap9901 sry i didn't notice it
no prblm bro,, thanx for stopping by..
That was easy
glad you got it,, what is ur rating bro,, i will try to find more challenging ones then
@@chessrecap9901 idk but btw ur good at chess
Can say decent,, trying to learn by solving puzzles and learning tactics and analyzing super gm games,, that really helps !!
Wesley plays like Capablanca. When he is in form, he destroys everyone except Maxim la Grave.
Great point! Wesley’s smooth, positional style is definitely Capablanca-esque. When he’s on form, he’s tough to beat. MVL is a formidable challenge; I think they have a pretty close head-to-head record.
Arjun!
What a Tournament he had!!!
Queen is pronouns kween.
Absolutely! Pronouncing it as 'kween' definitely adds some flair and fun. 👑
@chessrecap9901 that's how it's pronounced...the correct way.
got it bro
There was Qh2+ stalemate that Amin missed.
Queen to h2+ is not stalemate bro,, queen to h2+ will end in mate in 2,, Rxh2 ,b4 Rh1#
Check de INDIA
nyc one
Good Luck Bro. Which country?
Increíble
Absolutely! Arjun’s creativity and skill make it a must-watch. The queen sacrifice was just brilliant!
F6 rook h6
Rook on f6 is pinned by Bishop on c3 bro,, it cannot capture erigaisi's rook on h6
How he won that endgame I will never know
The black king will dominate the white king, and the pawn on a3 will eventually fall. The white king won’t be able to defend that pawn indefinitely, and there is no remaining counterplay for white. Foreseeing this, white resigns.
Bruhhhhhhhhhh
Seems like the knight sacrifice was quite a shocker! 😄
