4:28 I feel so bad for Stein, at the same time I have to admit this legit made me laugh lol. Spirit's just standing there for a good couple of seconds (possibly longer) watching Stein freak the fuck out before finally saying something. Oof, that's embarrassing. Also the way he treats Stein a little like a misbehaving puppy, telling him "Get out of hear Stein, you know you shouldn't leave your lab right now." And then the way Stein just makes that weird "I dunno" noise with that demented smile on his face while shrugging his shoulders, idk it's somehow both cringe and really funny. 😂Fuck Medusa for what she did to poor Stein but holy shit 8:24 is hilarious, the whole conversation she has with Death and Spirit basically just trolling her and taking advantage of her being in a small child's body lol. Medusa definitely deserves it after she abused her own child to the point of insanity and basically treated them like nothing but a tool to be used and discarded. Also for how she drove poor Stein insane.

This episode is the only one I've seen that actually humanizes Medusa somewhat. She's basically the main character of this episode, we see it almost entirely from her point of view and even hear her internal monologue. We get to see that, in this position, her usual confidence is only a front. She's capable of being afraid, angered, of feeling vulnerable, of doubting herself, and being genuinely unsure of what the future has in store for her. She was banking on the good likelihood that her information is too important to Death for him to not take the deal (and possibly his unwillingness to harm the child she's possessing). However, with even the small possibility of Death deciding she's too dangerous to be let go at any price or even further deciding that eliminating her outright (along with Rachel) is a necessary evil, that cell made her feel more powerless than she probably ever had been in 800 years. It's little things like this which makes a really good villain. If she was just a caricature of pure evil with no humanity whatsoever, that wouldn't be very interesting. The fact that she can be empathized with, that there is an actual person behind those reptilian eyes, yet she chooses to be as monstrous as she is anyway makes her just that much more terrifying.
