Over priced rubbish. I bought two of their watches and the 1st 3.5 years ago. The first watch has Failed 3 times. Once the hands fell off!. and then the winder crown has seized and the time cant be changed. I can buy a watch from Kmart and it will last longer. This watch cost me just under $1,000.00 Bloody Rip off.

UPDATE: Two of my Huxley watches stopped working. One, changing the battery and it will no longer power up. Two, the minute hand on the second one came loose and the watch cannot keep good time. I have sent them off to the manufacturer in the USA and they will be fixing them under warranty. I will let you know how that goes. Have to say, somewhat mifffed that two our of four need service....not sure what that says overall but the icing on the cake is how they deal with these problems.

Personally I think it's good that the straps aren't branded in case someone wants to use them on another watch like I'm seriously considering doing.

I was about to buy this until I saw this review and the comments. If it seems to good to be true... I have a "collection" ranging from Seiko 5 and Orient up to Omega Planet Ocean and a Hublot Classic Fusion. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive skeleton that could be worn "daily" under $1k?

I agree on some points but the CW beats the Omega, Tudor and Rolex on a number of specifications.

I am having alot of issues with the crown become so tight it won't move to be wound and the watch last a couple of hours before it stops. Anyone else have this issue?

The bezel its actually 3 separate parts which require different levels of polishing which creates that unique look. The sapphire crystal is double AR coated and that allows you to see the dial so clearly. I have two of these but I have a small wrist and in the last 3 years I have felt they are too big and flashy for my taste now days ....I did become a Dad 3 years ago and maybe that's got something to do with that feeling.

WARNING: DO NOT GET SCAMMED. These watches look good but the quality is crap. Movement is $20 Chinese assembly and the case is less than $20. These are NOT German made. After 2 trips to the manufacturer to get my damn watch fixed, it stopped all together. Save your money. DO NOT BUY these watches unless you want a good looking disposable watch.

I own two of the Huxley models...blue / orange and silver /red dial. From what I can see, they are quality watches and very sleek and fashionable in every respect. They cost me $260 Canadian each and this is the definate top tier of my purchasing. I suspect they will last for many years and who cares what they go for second hand. I own dozens of watches from $13 up to $260 and enjoy them all. Easy to remove bands and easy to change the battery when needed. Well done product and worth the money IMO.....proud to wear and get lots of comments

the movement used in here is a Hangzhou 9000, it is a clone of the well know swiss eta 6498-1, beats at 18800vph. | have a watch with this movement and when it is regulated, it can be at chronometre specs. My watch gains and lose +2 -1 seconds a day on different positions but overall usually gains only 8 seconds a week

I don't really think that's good value for a 15mm thick collared GMT. I'd much rather get a Mido "true GMT" for less or pony up to a Zulu time.

Lilienthal-berlin (I own 4 of them, including the Zeitgeist Automatik) are high quality watches especially for those of us who don't have lots of money. I am writing this four years after your review. Since the watches have been around since 2015, nicely kept pre owned samples have been coming into the secondary market at a fraction of the retail cost, that's how I found mine. The company does something I don't understand, they have models with no lume, like the one in your review. I think they did sent you used straps, and perhaps even a "returned watch". Their straps are hand made & very nice so yes I believe they stiffed you. I just purchased a preowned limited edition solar power one for $100 U.S. edition is sold out & go for around $500 U.S. again used ones in mint to great condition are out there just need to be patient. Update there seems to be some confusion into what a fashion watch is. A fashion watch is made by a third party for a fashion house such as Michael Kors or Gucci. Lilienthal-berlin pronounced "leelientall" is a watch company in their own right, they design, and produce their own award winning watches. Fashion watches do not win awards. Lastly the company has now introduced a new line far from what made the original designs distinctive, I think that may be a big mistake because they look like everyone else's watches, and have Japanese movements not Swiss.

You are wrong about the leather straps. Genuine leather straps label are the cheapest. They are stiff when new and when the strap starts to soften they start to fall apart. The other strap has better quality leather some of this type is called Horween. This leather is more expensive. It is supposed to be soft on the skin. The cheap leather is uncomfortable and irritates the skin.

Well that was easy. As soon as you said Chinese ( which is what I figured it was) I was instantly turned off. I was offered a used one of these which was never worn but nevertheless used. But not knowing anything about this company I came here for a look. I know some people do not mind these Chinese movements but I am not one of them. The watch is a decent price I suppose if you like wearing a hockey puck. I do collect Suisse or Swiss for some who get bent out of shape. Like Sinn for instance. I would rather pay more and get that Swiss automatics. Anyway thank you for taking the time to upload a review.

Cheap Chinese garbage that's smeared with "German made " marketing feces. 😂😂 Yes, it's a cheap Chinese movement . The watch is worth about $50-$85 imo. Probably cost them around $25-$35 to produce. It's not really surprising though. Just another gimmick shady watch brand that heavily promotes garbage watches made in China and say they're made in Germany to sell them for 30x their value to naive individuals....... Nothing wrong here......

I bought on of these. Nice looking watch. Nice looking but right out of the box it doesn’t run.
