Ok i live in frozen Michigan where we have almost 2 ft of snow right now. I've lived here my entire 44yrs. I've never done this and have never had issues. I didn't know we should do that😂 so i have my faucet dripping because we are in a mobile home and the pipes will freeze. I learned first hand and my water didn't come back on for a week until i could get under the trailer and take a torch to slowly warm them up. That was in the 90s and always remember to leave a sink dripping. I didn't know our outside one should be covered. Probably a good idea.
