Most cost effective will to buy the Motorsports Phone Mount and record video with your phone - next step up in expense is a GoPro or other action cam, but there's no integration with APEX Pro. Highest level of expense is the Aim Smartycam like you see in this video or a VBox HD2 - but those are well over $1k just for the camera and require extra hardware to operate. I'd start with phone video and go from there.

@@APEXProTrackCoach I already use Track Addict app on my phone for video and what little data I pay attention to. I was just thinking if there were something that integrated well with an Apex Pro it would be good. I think I’ve settled on Apex Pro for my more serious data needs.

Kuhmo V730 tires, 200 treadwear. Same grip level as a Falken RT660. I think we can get this car down to a high 1:39 with some chassis tuning. It should be easy flat on the throttle in the kink but it picks up a solid understeer there. A little adjustment and the times will come down big time. Just goes to show how important high cornering speeds are to a lap time at Barber. Amazing what you can do with sub 200hp, good tires, decent suspension, and some aero!

@@APEXProTrackCoach Yeah amazing lap and awesome to see the car control including the foot cam.. After watching this I'm realizing I'm over braking before T1, T5, and corkscrew. My mid corner/apex speeds are comparable, but there's probably some more grip on the table w/ entry speeds.

@@joegall2691 keep in mind this car does have aero - but I find that most folks overslow T1 (also T7, T12) not because they brake too soon, but because they use too much brake pressure. T1 is fairly fast, should be 80-85mph min speed on a 200tw tire, so even in a faster heavier car, you don't want to use too much brake pressure. High min speed corner means you want to keep the chassis balanced to achieve good entry and min speed, so when you're looking for speed in T1, brake softer and brake sooner if needed. You definitely should not get ABS intervention in T1 unless you're in a car that can do 135+mph on the front straight. An example of that would be a 911 Turbo S on street tires. In that case you need to go from 135 to 75, which is enough speed to bleed off to need a big brake pedal. In your car Joe (E90/92 M3) you're speed on the straight is probably 115 -118mph. In that case you only need to bleed 35-39mph - so with that in mind, a threshold (super hard/ABS) brake application will bleed off too much speed. So just try to brake less, and brake sooner, then compress the braking zone. Meaning, brake deeper, but still softly with the right release.

@@APEXProTrackCoach this is really helpful! Sounds like It would actually be more beneficial for me to brake earlier than normal (I usually brake at 2 markers), stabilize the car before turn in, and then carry more speed into the turn. My speeds are still 75-78 apex T1 and 45-50 mid apex T5 but my overbraking is definitely killing more speed than needed. And I occasionally get ABS in T1 and I’m definitely not in a 911 lol. I’m going exactly what you said 117-118mph. Im due for some coaching soon too anyways.

Transferring files from the Apple Files app to APEX Pro is controlled by apple - you should be able to send 150 files at once by selecting them all. If that does not work properly it's more than likely an Apple OS or Apple Files app bug. But we can look into from our end too.

10-11 is tricky, uphill on entry and flattens on the exit. Have to be patient with it! Turn 12 should be about the same minimum corner speed as the Turn 10-11 complex. Check your data and compare min speeds between those two areas and if they're not close you know you have a lot more speed to carry in one of them. We love Barber!

Certainly too close for comfort. Luckily the damage was easily fixable. It did bend our front left fender so that it would contact the tire in right turns. You can hear it in the video. Had to manage my pace for a few laps until it clearanced enough that we were confident it would not cut the tire!

Hey Ray, the lights are based on G's and speed. As you drive you inevitably are more confident in some corners than others and expose some potential to the device. It learns from those moments and begins to understand your limits and ultimately the car's handling limits. Red lights = available grip.
