I personally think Remake was insanely wonderful. They messed up by making Rebirth a ps5 exclusive at first, and Rebirth also has too many mini games and too much repetition. Almost all the major challenges consist of re-fighting the same summons, at least 6 times. The superboss, Gilgamesh, was a joke. Still a good game but I know a few people who dropped the game entirely, not because of difficulty, but because they got sick of so much repetition.

It's probably doing pretty well but they are super money hungry and the sales aren't meeting the level of greed they set.

Square Enix gave up on the original FF7 fans and both remake and rebirth storyline is terrible. I can not support Square Enix ever again after endless disappointments.

Great video. Really cool idea about Zack washing away in the water representing Cloud feeling forgotten by history. I'm just curious why you think the Aerith Gold Saucer date is canon in Rebirth? I was under the impression there wasn't a single canon date, and I also just watched another video which mentioned that if you max out your affinity with everyone and complete every side mission, the default scene that plays out is the one with Barret (which they took to mean that one is canon).

This theory is absolutely incorrect. It's not a world of the dead , sephiroth said new worlds are born when fate is defied. Cloud and the party defied fate so the whispers weren't present to make sure zack dies . As you can see in remake the whispers disappear . Also dont attempt to make the worlds look like the world of the dead . The entire story revolves around the merging of worlds sephiroth even says this . Also you are saying cloud and Aerith are dead when they have a date in another world. Everything sephiroth says contradicts this theory.

Actually we never win sephiroth . Just like xehanort's nobody, the sephiroth we fighting is a clone of sephiroth and we still lose to him . The party loses to sephiroth( in remake )!- cloud was there last hope ( it seemed that way) and he lost in edge of creation.

I think the universe Cloud and Aerith had their date is in is the cracked materia in the belly of a baby weapon, the one Yuffie was drooling over and the one Sephiroth slashes with his sword which would explain the rift in the sky. Could the different weapons be the different worlds?

I don't fully get the complaint about how Sephiroth is not much of a threat, given how he is a far bigger threat in the remake games and, likely like the original, isn't physically around until the end. As for "Saving others through their destruction", that spunds more like a trope than a KH thing. Every so often you get a villain who wants to end all suffering bybkilling everyone.

I don’t mind the sympathetic villain approach. Have you seen the Joker movie? It worked phenomenally. Or Star Wars Episode 3? It makes you actually feel bad for Darth Vader. Does that excuse the evil or make Darth Vader not evil. No. A sympathetic villain doesn’t mean the villain isn’t evil. It just makes you feel bad for the reasons that led to him becoming evil.

I think everyone is dead in both worlds and they are all in between worlds. Zach & Aerith are the ones guiding souls to where they need to be.

She accesses her body in THAT alternate timeline & is thus, able to touch Zack’s hand. Zack clearly transversed his Corgi timeline in the White space & ended up in Cloud’s timeline. Zack’s alive. It’s already been confirmed by the devs. Dumb & inaccurate theory.

Nice explanation on this, trying to wrap my brain around these possibilities and theories but Zack and Biggs being in this alternate world might be some type of Limbo for them both seeing as they were both about to die, although they both don't realize it(reminds me of a certain movie).

This theory is unnecesary,and absurd. We know Aerith of CV, Aerith post Advent Children, is interfering with the others worlds. She had something to do in the wind (whispers included) that deflected the fatal bullet to Zack, she attracts Cloud Rebirth consciousness to one of the worlds to give him Holy, she sabes Zack from the black CV and sends him to the White one and guide him with the petals, then at the end when Meteor is about to crash im the other world, she creates a portal to save him. Too much work if hes dead. Let alone that Zack has phisical contact with Cloud. Doubt his desire would be going to a dying world with a comatose Aerith and meeting mother in law after 4 years lost ,and some Marlene,Kyrie or Biggs he didnt know about. The Game explains things enough, not need to create these theories....being Nomura imvoñved everything could happen yes, but It doesnt have sense. About Zack and Aerith hand moment, yeah she feels him talking her álter ego hand, but just the same as Cloud could see sometimes through his álter ego eyes and see comatose Aerith and even Zack, theres some interaction between those worlds, no need for him to be desde lol.

The Devs stated that they wanted the whisperers in the OG back in 97, however the technology limitations prevented that. That this is what they had envisioned originally. I love FF7, I believe that we are simply getting reimagining of the story. This additions (not changes) are design to keep the old fans guessing and debating.
