The station identification was way better back in the late 80's and early 90's. I used to love the older guy announcing the station ID. It went something like this...."The call letters....KDON....the dial setting....102.5FM.....the station....102.5 KDON...Salinas, Santa Cruz, Monterrey! I miss those days of KDON....driving over the Pacheco Pass on Highway 152 from Los Banos to Hollister and then into the Monterrey Bay. I remember once you were a little past Los Banos and approaching Pacheco Peak, the 102.5 KDON radio signal would start coming in faintly and then full force once over the peak. We used to drive all the way from Patterson to the Monterrey Bay to cool off in the scorching hot summers of the Central Valley. I remember as if it were yesterday yet it has been more than 30 years already...wow.
I was listening online during coverage of Tropical Storm Beryl. They decided to do a single national feed for all stores and clubs, and I heard some interesting jingles. One of them had a quieter version of the chime and went: All the hits... Walmart Radio! I also heard some solo sings as well.
Just heard one singing: Lifting up your workday... Walmart Radio! This one has the quieter sonic logo as well

On Canva, how do you get the colour of the background to change?
Once you select a portrait, tap on the background and tap “color” from there you’re able to select what color. You can’t make it change into 2 different colors aka the gradient. You’re going to need to save 2 different versions of the color first then import them into InShot.

I (who loves Smooth FM) am seeing a lot of people on here saying that Smooth plays the same old music, day in, and day out. In reality, their playlists are varied and, depending on the presenter/dj, the playlists are some of the best and most diverse out there. Also, you'll find that with every radio station, there are repeats of songs as each station tends to cater for a specific genre/audience, etc.
@@carlmaster9690 I think it genuinely has to do with the company Global. Every station there plays the same music INCLUDING HEART. I stopped listening to Heart last week because of their boring playlist. “Turn Up The Feel Good!!” I don’t feel so good listening to that. I’m now listening to smooth radio and I love it, they may play some of the same music but it’s generally better than Heart.
This happened to me but on hits radio East Yorkshire
I also like Capital, but I love Heart more.
Yeah I loved Heart but I recently stopped listening, Heart plays the same music over and over and I got annoyed. I’m now listening to smooth radio which I personally love and prefer.

I think I’ve heard a longer version of that TOH before. I also think heart is gonna start playing their summer jingles after their yearly “Heart’s Live In Ibiza” which starts on the 28th of Friday and 29th of Saturday. So they should play the summer jingles on 1st of July.

Since posting my original comment, I noticed Heart have started using some ‘Turn up the Summer, Turn up the Feel Good’ jingles between their songs, but they’ve not yet started the summer TOHs or OOBs, so yes maybe after the Heart Live in Ibiza ☀️ . I wonder what the TOHs will sound like because this is the first time they’ve ever had sung TOHs (when they sing This Is Heart at the start of the TOH) as opposed to just saying ‘This is Heart’.

@@thejingledude Hi, I heard 2 summer TOHs used on Matt Wilkinson's show yesterday (Tuesday 2nd July). One was at 13:00 and the other at 14:00. 15:00 was back to normal non-summer TOHs and there was a slight technical issue here too where he kept talking beyond the end of the jingle. There has been no summer TOHs used since then which is very odd. Obviously there was the technical issue I mentioned at 15:00 yesterday but there was one at 06:00 on early breakfast with Rob Howard this morning, where the TOH played (non-summer) but there was no talking through it, just the weather bed playing in the background which hadn't been switched off. I wonder if perhaps the technical issues are being caused by the process of uploading the summer jingles to the system, as I remember previously when there have been new jingles there has been numerous technical issues to go with them. Just thought I'd share, as I've never known summer TOHs to start being used then to suddenly stop! Still no summer OOBs either.
