I’m a trans dude who’s always wanted top surgery but surgeries literally scare me to death. I want to get surgery and I only have three more years on my parents insurance, which will cover it. I finally decided that if I want it, I need to get it. The sooner I get it done the sooner I get it healed and the sooner I can start feeling like myself. I’m lucky to have parents that eventually came around and are supporting me in my transition. After an almost two year long wait I just started T a month and a half ago, and I’ve finally seriously looked into what the recovery process is like, and it’s nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. Obviously it’s different for everyone, but I genuinely thought the experience 1-2 weeks post op was going to last for months. Thank you for making this. It makes me feel like despite my anxieties and my squeamishness, this is something I’ll be able to get through. And that’s all I could ever ask for.

seeing people with piercings have their jewelry back in after surgery is so relieving to me?? idk why but I always get major anxiety when I have to take mine out, and especially like with top surgery I have no idea how moving my arms and reaching up for my face will be so it's just nice to see that it's do-able. From my perspective this looks like a tragedy. I reject the idea that you were born in the wrong body. I believe that the doctors are lying to you. It's all based on Gender Identity theory which uses circular reasoning. It's an ideological scam with a big pharma money grift riding its coat tails. But I do sincerely believe that you feel better on testosterone. Your experiences are real and I don't deny that. And you have privileged access to your experiences which I don't have, so you are in a better position to say what's going on in your own mind that I do. But Elliot Page used to be a cute and beautiful girl, now look what the system turned her into. It's a real tragedy. The tragedy and sorrow for what society did to her can never be forgiven. In an alternate universe where she had never been introduced to Gender Identity theory, she would still be Ellen Page in that universe, of her own free will.

Congrats on four years! This might sound wild, but I do inversion with inversion boots (you can also use an inversion table), and I find that my hair and fingernails grow much faster if I do it more often, because I'm flooding my upper body with more blood than usual. Maybe this would help that hair growth? Good luck! ❤😄 Make sure you've got a spotter if you're gonna hang upside down - important safety tip!
