Nice! Pick you up some transfer tape. It's kind of like masking tape, but you can get in different size rolls. Would work way better than 2 in.

100% True! It really takes quite awhile to get up and running. I'm a year in and just starting to get to where people are hearing about me and requesting service. Now that I am starting to make a living doing this is where I am now starting to think about etsy because I know it will take a long minute to have that gain traction.

Another great vid, bro! I tell people all the time, grassroots marketing is key for us small business owners! I pick other small, local companies and swing by with a $7 Amazon tumbler, a couple slate coasters and maybe a few of my SS credit card bottle openers with their logo on it. I’m out maybe $12 but they have something tangible to remind them of my visit and several examples of my quality of work. Visiting and using their business if possible is a good way to make sure you’re a familiar face and they’ll recognize you in the future.

Great video. I have learned this lesson the hard way, I have had a laser for a couple years now, watched tons of videos, follow numerous people for inspiration but have to tell myself daily "Don't click the button and buy the How to Class". I also have spent quite a bit of money on products over the last few years lol. BUT.... I have made most of my money local, local markets and thru my local fb page.

That’s when you simply add material cost to machine use cost and say I’ll do the labor for free… takes 30 min on the laser at $1.25/min or something so they know you are doing the most you can for them. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The other thing about Etsy....if you're selling physical items on Etsy for $5 or $10 you have to sell a lot to make a profit. Between Etsy fees, shipping and your labor cost, you're not making much profit with that product. Some things are really fun to make and are beautiful products but that doesn't always translate to sales. I found a very niche market and I sell those items mostly via my business Facebook page. That grew my page and gave me a lot of repeat customers. I have another very niche product that is expensive and sells like crazy on Etsy. It doesn't do well anywhere else besides Etsy. No your products, where the customers are for that product and market appropriately to sell that product. Great video, you're not misleading your viewers like some other creators are.

Spot on! I make tshirts and don't buy a bunch of shirts either. I order as I receive an order. I have three top sellers and make all my profit from them. Anything else I make is from left over wood/acrylic and the smaller items are all profit. =)

Yep totally 100% agree. I have seen many video titles saying I made thousands of $$ doing this. The old saying "If its to good to be true, It probably is" I acutally make money, Not huge amounts. but I do local and go to craft fairs. If I do see something that could be in my stock I will do a small run 1 or 2 if they sell good I will make more if not, something new will take its place. Enjoy you videos :-)

agree 100%. Too many people think there is a quick rich scheme. Networking- Clubs, Religious organizations and businesses always need something to be engraved. Again, network, network, network... Or create something that is new.

good stuff, keep going, you're getting there with your subs, took me a while to get monetized on you tube, let alone make any money, it all takes time, as Warren Buffet says, people don't want to get rich slowly, short of winning the lottery, its the only way. All the best, Cliff

I 100% agree with you! I've gotten most of my 'jobs' by word of mouth and I buy stock when a customer wants an item that will pay for that stock. I always let them know that it'll take x amount of time to get the stock and I'll have their product x amount of days after that. One other thing I think people should learn, and I learned the hard way, is to say no. If you can't do a job then say no. I was bullied by a customer to take a job that I didn't think I was able to complete. After months of back and forth I had to go back to them and say that I couldn't do it. That's never a good feeling and the same word of mouth that can get you jobs can now hurt your reputation and make it harder to get the jobs.

I always assume that if a youtuber talks about their successful Etsy product, it's because that success happened in the past and that most of that success has now ended. So IF they truly had a successful product, they made money from it while they could, and now that it's no longer successful they make a video to make extra cash as they no longer have to worry about competition for their "successful" product.

One thing a person can do is buy a small quantity of an item, and list you only have X in stock. Prevents you from getting more orders than you have stock, and then you are rushing to buy more stock to complete your orders. Btw...nice Frostmourne tattoo. For the Alliance.

When spraying, you should sweep back and forth, and overlap the previous spray by about 25%. Start off the item itself and move in a consistent speed, as to not over/under spray
